@seenoevil You should try that with new emu and see what happens. Nice bug for the ep2  I think you can fix that by enabling dev console and ckecking what materials it fails to load. Then extract certain material using GCFScape or similar to where it should be.-- Edit -- Updated and re-uploaded Portal 2. |

seenoevil You can use the same fix for EP1 and EP2. It's the same model in all games. -- Edit -- And no, the latest version of RevEmu not solve this bug. |

I just downloaded L4D2, it worked for a day, but when I woke up and went to single-player it said "Connection Blocked: Please remove plug-ins before attempting to connect to a VAC secured server." So what are these plug-ins I have to remove and how do I remove them? Please help me, I am a total noob.  EDIT: Also how do you update it? I want to play the new Cold Stream campaign. |

Hello VeilSide. Great work on your installers. But there seems to be one problem. I've downloaded HL2:EP2 and tried to install it. First time it was OK, it managed to come to the 99% and then it just stopped..., It couldn't finish the installation so I canceled the installation. It ran cleanup.bat and delete HL2:Ep2 directory The Second try was even worse. I clicked on Install and then it pops out a Net Framework Error. So I can't even start the installation. Edit: I managed to fix it. In Programs and Features there was an entry named HL2:EP2 i tried uninstalling but it was broken, so I removed the entry and now I can reinstall. But you should try to fix installation looping and cleaning procedures. Keep up the good work.

@Noyovitz Probably you need to update the game. You can find instructions step by step on first post. @Zexdestroyer Very strange. I could not recreate this installation error myself. And I have no idea what could have caused the installation progress to stop @ 99%. However that error log you got here shows that you tried to launch the game after it was deleted (canceled) though the uninstall entry wasn't removed. And it wasn't removed because the installer creates it at the last point of installation. Which would mean the installation indeed was complete. It just didn't show you the last page of successful installation? |

VeilSide This is a great thread friend. Thank you for these perfect releases. I hope you keep up good work and more games. Still it was really hard to understand update games, i tried couple hours and managed it. I have a question, I want to create an updated installer for me. But your installer looks like official and superb, i like it so much. That is why i want to modify your installer. I see the files in .sid extension with 7-zip since it is a modified zip file with lz algoritm. So how can I edit/modify/repack sid files without steam or something? Or how can I modify your installer? Or how can I create installer like yours? I used InnoIDE for my projects but it is almost impossible simulate yours with it. Waiting for your answer. @tony_almeida These files are actually rar archives w changed extension to .sid. What exactly do you want to modify within these archives? |

rar archives, huh? easier than i suppose then hehe  why you switch the extension to sid anyway? i just wanted to change outdated files in installer for latest version. alright i managed to do it. thank you so much friend. but it would be better to use 7-zip or zip instead of rar for me. i just dont like rar file type, it is closed source and 7-zip, winzip bla bla cannot make rar archives actually no program but winrar can create rar archives, that makes me force to download winrar is there any way to fix it? i mean make installer to use zip or 7-zip with one these algoritms instead of rar lzma, gzip, lzma2, bzip2, deflate, deflate64, ppmd Thank you for your release and thank you for your answers and thank you again for being kind. I am so excited, this release is what i always looking for. Easy to update(hard to learn through) official looking installer, with all gcf and ncf files And if I make installer to use zip or 7-zip it would be 10/10 Regards... |

@tony_almeida I would love to switch to 7z format but it doesn't have dynamic library for Windows software developers to use in VB.NET. |

i have a lzma lib written in c#, dunno where i got it from. use SevenZip.Compression.LZMA.SevenZipHelper for bytearrays

Wow many thanks razor8! Too bad it's written in C# I know there's online code converter somewhere but I doubt it would help. Hmm I guess I'll have to figure something out 'cause I really don't want to rewrite all my project into C#. Is the dll also compatible w x64 OS? |
