It would be nice if they give us english info about this program (I know they're from China, but most of us can only understand English). What exactly does it collect ? Just some info about the CPU or something more ? |

I found a MEMBER with same CPU i have, Intel i7-4790k, I compared LOG.txt and it MATCH 100% (I found only 1 letter changed "W to G"), i confirm only CPU data is collected. Many of us already using Windows 8.1 64 Bit, because the OS is faster in general usage - not sure about the 3D performance but full dx11.1 and 11.2 is not available on W7... Also for some newer AMD CPU's Windows 8+ can even bring additional performance boost. But once they solve the emulation on W7 I don't think it will take longer to "port" to 8.1. I'm more interested how much CPU resources required for this emulation ? |

I hope Microsoft support W7 with new api DirectX 12. But I think she will not, she will force all users to migrate to obtain a higher profit with W10. |

Druid8732 : It has already been confirmed DirectX12 will be Win8 and 10, but not Win7. And it's not "for profit", it's due to advancements in the windows display driver model than Win7 don't support. |

I can vouch for that, as I too am a Windows 8.1 user, and even though the UI aspects of it are, uhmmm, debatable, to put it mildly, everyday and gaming performance is noticeably better on Windows 8/8.1 than Windows 7. About another matter, believe that this is one of the most crucial factors. If people continue with W7, W10 will be same as Vista and W8, a failure of acceptance and thus low sales and profit. The best way for Microsoft is force everyone to migrate, and the best strategy choosing of not support W7. She's done it, forced everyone to like the look of W8 with the Intent to make popular your other platforms. ----------------- Backing to theme of topic, i compared others "LOG.txt" of Intel i7-4790K and i found various "LOG.txt" that match 100% with my "LOG.txt" I think the one letter change is about CPU revision. |
