Thanx mayhemdred, i read ur post and that helped me with that error, but now when im loading the hl2.exe, the dos prompt opens up waits a few seconds and then has and error saying "MountAppFileSystem() failed: SteamMountAppFilesSystem(0x12e0f4) failed with error 4 :Bad launch configuration" Hmmm lol :s what does this mean now.

make sure your setup and shortcut is correct correct, check your steamapp if u have one

This is reallly hard, lol well i think i installed everythign right the only thing i can say i didnt do is install that emperio thing i installed the crack that ur suppose to use the was on the forum i downloaded that but no other cracks was i suppose to put on another onE?

well i dont know what u r trying to use, my post u read on play all source games, uses emporio crack, for vengence help u will have to ask others

Can someone explain to me in great detail please on where to put all these files exactly.I have downloaded all the GCF's needed for CS:S and I extracted and tried a buncha several different ways.I finnaly got to the startup screen one time but some of the pictures werent showing up on some screens like options and stuff.I need to know exactly where to put each file after I extracted them and how to start the gamr up CS:S.Ive read alot of other post but no help.

meaning if steam update CSS ... i apply the crack again?

Anyone got this problem when getting DoD? SteamBlockingCal(Login)(0xab0001,0,0xf3fd04) failed with error 8: App provided bad argument to Steam API, if yes, please tell me how to fix this problem? I'd follow the whole guide

dod should be easy to get to work, do u have the gcf already?

I was able to instla everything sucsessfully, an dthe last one i wanted to try was counter strike 1.6 it goes in and i can get the list of server but then when i try to connect it sais " lan servers are restricted to local clients (class :c) " fo revery server i go to. hhow do i fix this?
