i installed condition zero and everything and made a shortcut that says -steam -game czero but two errors popup. First it says "The procedure entry point InternalSteamShouldShutdownEngine could not be located in the dynamic link library Steam.dll. Then another error pops up and says "SteamStartup(0xf,0x13fb60) failed with error 108: The local Steam Service is not running"

double check ur steamapp.cfg make sure steaminstallpath and shortcut line must be the same except hl.exe in steaminstallpath

thanks but what do you mean "except hl.exe in steaminstallpath." Also im a little confused what to put in steaminstallpath in steamapp.cfg sorry

where did u install ur czero?

i still get an error but i think only one error pop ups this time. Is this how my steamapp is suppose to look like? sorry for the trouble

yes in my shortcut it has that

oops sorry in my shortcut it says "C:\Program Files\Valve\Condition Zero\hl.exe" -steam -game czero. SO what should my steaminstallpath in steamapp say? because i still keep getting errors when i edit it.

it should be "C:\Program Files\Valve\Condition Zero"

my steamapp.cfg does "C:\Program Files\Valve\Condition Zero". But i still get the errors. Does it matter if my hl.exe is in there or does it have to be in the czero?

if you are trying to play online....your best bet is to d/l the czero from my topic in the sticky....because using the gcf will load up half-life unless u do (-game czero.) like that with the dot, but then u will have no servers in your list.
