i get this error

Half-Life FileSystem_Steam Error
SteamMountAppFilesystem(92,4294967295,0x104fd0c) failed with error 166: Cache needs repair

when i try to open the hl.exe

I checked on the GCFScape the Numbers matched each other on all the files you need for DoD

First i made a DoD folder in my c drive

After i extracted all the files of Day of Defeat.gcf into the Dod Folder and it made another DoD folder i did not extract any of the files below into this DoD folder

Next i extracted all the files or Half-Life Engine.gcf into the Dod folder

Later i extracted all the files for Half-Life.gcf into the doD folder

Then i made a platform folder in the DoD folder then i extracted the platform.gcf into the plarform folder

Later i extracted cs16_play_on_steam.zip into the DoD folder

I edited the steamapp.cfg like this
SteamAppId=92
#SteamAppVersionId=0
SteamInstallPath="C:\DoD"
# [as is clearified later on, this should be your email address:]
#SteamAppUser=aalb002@cafe.boomtown.net
SteamAppUser=************
SteamUserPassphrase="*****"

Later i made a shortcut to hl.exe and added on -steam -console -game dod so it looked like this
"C:\DoD\hl.exe" -steam -console -game dod
and i applied and it keeps giving me that error can any1 help me out here plz

lol u did it wrong

read my guide on playing hl and 3rd party mods.....

i have little problem with CS:CZ ( not source )

i instaled

hl1
hl:cs hl.exe -steam -game cstrike
cs:cz hl.exe -steam -game czero
cs:cz deleted scenes hl.exe -steam -game czerod
dod hl.exe -steam -game dod

all except cs:cz works ( -console also dont works and doesnt allow cs to properly load)

when i try to load Condition Zero i load HL menu instead

-huh i did search .. ( it wasnt too far from here damn DOT ;p )

u didnt seacrh.....the only cz that works properly is the one i posted in the sticky section...this has been mentioned at least 3 times in the topic alone

when i double click on launcher.exe then click on Start Counter-Strike: Source, a window pops up and says "SteamStartup() failed:SteamStartup(0xf,0x12e0f4) failed with error 108: The local Steam Service is not running". Can anyone help me with this? [/code]

ok, now i have another error, it says "unable to load materialsystem.dll". i see it mentioned on the css[error]fixes topic but no one said how to fix it. and there's a site posted there to fix it i think, but i can't read it

follow my css guide and make sure u did all the steps, or if u r using gcf's follow my play all source games......both r in the sticky section

I dont know where to download that crack.

Im having problem with cs 1.6. I cant get it working.

I have extracted the filen inte one folder C:\cs
and i have put in cs1.6_play_on_steam and edited my

--> counter-strike.gcf
--> half-life engine.gcf
--> half-life.gcf
--> platform.gcf


STEAMAPPS.CFG

SteamAppId=92
#SteamAppVersionId=0
SteamInstallPath="C:\cs"
# [as is clearified later on, this should be your email address:]
#SteamAppUser=aalb002@cafe.boomtown.net
SteamAppUser=testar87
SteamUserPassphrase="password"


then i have added a sourtcut. C:\cs\hl.exe -STEAM -CONSOLE -GAME CSTRIKE


But when i klick on it nothing happens (steam starts and quits fast)

Plz sry my bad english but can some one help me plz ??

try:

"C:\cs\hl.exe" -steam -game cstrike

in your shortcut

extract the gcf's first then apply cs1.6_play_on_steam make sure you create platform folder to extract ur platform.gcf
