When I try to run HL2, error pops up and says:
gameinfo.txt doesn't exist in hl2.
Please Help

new steam problem..... search you hdd for the file and copy it to half life 2 root forder\hl2

Made the new file, but now when I load the game. Right before the menu should show up a new error pops up.
The title is: Engine Error
And the message is:
OnGameRulesCreationStringChanged: missing gamerules class 'CHalfLife1' on the client

another new problem... after talking to the first guy and getting out through the window in HL2, the game screws up and pops up the error that Steam lost connection to the servers

When i tryied to extract czero with GCFScape it gives me an error: Error writing File contains no physical data to write.)
help plz
