damn....
I have to install Steam to play the Game after extracting the GCF files.
right ?!
because I get some damn error -> can't find Steam.dll

It says like what harold says, SOURCE ERROR! "Steam lost connection to the servers, could not acquire source files etc"

So....first of all i had bought the Game!
I had extract all the gcf-files to play HL² in an unimportend direction =)
Then... I patched the client.dll with the file u linked
BUT now... when I want to play the Game (start HL2.exe) there is a error "can't find Steam.dll"
So I asked u all (2 post above) ....
Somebody  said...
"come on...search...u can get those files if use the #5-#7 css update"
So I patched HL2 with all these updates .... but now ... I have another Startproblem: "can't load: d:\root\bin\filesystem_stdio.dll" but I can see the file in this direction =)
understood?!

Do I have to use ur cd images @ H3llBoSS ?!

i have hl2 extracted gcf's and h2o patch installed ...works great, did you start the game using start.exe?

I wan to play counter-strike 1.6 on steam only usin H3llBoSS eploit method...
I haf follow H3llBoSS exploit tutorial until the part wherr extracting the GCF files
I haf GCFSCAPE installed..
after extracting the files in counter-strike.gcf, half-life engine.gcf, half-life.gcf, platform.gcf... wherr do the extracted files must be copied to?
can u explain more clearly on this part?
after dis is the crack part...i haf the file cs1.6_play_on_steam.zip
the files in the zip should be copy to wherr?
