i follwed the guide and the source final version was working online at my friends place but not on my pc in a cybercafe .it cannot find any servers

hi, i am new here @cs.rin.ru
i have try it with css but nothing works
in the folder crack i dont have a crack .exe or something and i also dont have a hl2.exe !! must i extract the rar archives so?
1 2 3 4 5 or all together??

Hey guys. I need some help. When i open the hl2.exe (shortcut) the steam engine.exe opens etc. saying
-- Engine running --.

but the game doesn't open it just stays like this for a while then i get an error.
SteamStartup() failed: SteamStartup(0xf,0x12e648) failed with error 1: pipe read failed, Win32 Error 109 "The pipe has been ended."

i have no idea how to fix. any ideas.

this is new error. hum..try to redo blob file. log in to steam copy blob and them close steam. if it doesnt work will u w8 till i get solution, or some does. try luzifer version. see other topic.

Hrmm yea i re-did the blob file. still doesn't open the game.

But i got a new error.

SteamStartup() failed: *SteamBlockingCall(Login)(0xab0001,0,0xf4fd04) failed with error 200: Failed to connect to any GeneralDirectoryServer, WinSock Error 10060 "Connection timed out"


have you seen this one before? :S

yes steam servers must be down. or u have no access. open ie.and see if your workinf ofline. if not, log in o steam. if u manage to enter steam or abble to enter with the method. steam server most be loaded or something.

if your defined as online on ie. and you can log in to steam. create new account. copy blob, edit steamapp.cfg etc. and try again. but i would think its something to do with steam server. try it

i dont find it
but my question is when i extract the files from 00-33 must i get them 01 -02 -03?? or all together??

steamapp.cfg is on online patch.

can i install and use this version having no i-net connection or do i need it for getting the steamaccount?

update:

it works without steamaccount/steaminstaller - just overwrite the files of the crack-folder and rename the steam.dll to whatever .

y. i do this like in the guide but i have a question there are 32 rar archives ! right ? yes ! must i extract ALL packets in the same css foldeR???
