Please test the new emulator for me. * Does it assign Steam IDs ? * Does it assign Steam IDs to legit client ? * Does it assign Steam IDs to all connected legit clients ? * Does it work with Source SDK ? p.s. Please bear in mind to check rev.ini and set it up correctly.

Change SteamDll to point to your official Steam client DLL - I do not get it. If I do not have steam at all? Or this emu is not for extracted games? |

warezz Rev emu is no *real* emu as SteamEmu is, it's a wrapper. AFAIK it's only replacing some functions of Steam.dll and using the rest of the original ones. However I think you could also rename the original steam.dll to whatever (wasn't it before TDi.dll?) and so you can keep them in one folder. |

Actually, that is optional, rev emu can work on it's own. SteamDll value is only used to forward UserID related functions to the original steam.dll. You don't even need rev.ini file to launch and play games. GameServers should find a real purpose of "SteamDll" value because such setting should allow legit steam users to have their normal steam ID when playing on those GameServers. If you don't use "SteamDll", legit steam users will get Steam IDs based on their IP addresses. warezz, you can also rename the original Steam.dll from Steam installation (uncracked) to whatever you want, warezz.dll if you like, copy it to the game folder, and specify that path in rev.emu I just wanna know if more than one legit steam user can be authenticated properly because it was a problem with the previous emu. bzz0, you can delete rev.emu if you just wanna play. |
