Not sure if I've done something wrong, or missed an important GCF (It's possible, knowing me), but whenever I try to launch my Counter Strike 1.6 standalone, it crashes as soon as I get to the initial menu. There are no errors before, during or after the crash, hl.exe just closes inexplicably and without warning.
I'm launching CS with hl.exe -steam -game cstrike -console, I'm not missing anything am I?
The GCF's I used are as follows:
condition zero models.gcf counter-strike.gcf half-life.gcf half-life engine.gcf platform.gcf sourceinit.gcf
I'm using the RevEmu 9.81 R3 files, and the rev.ini is left un-edited as no changes need to be made to it that I can see. Thanks for any help that can be provided and if I'm missing anything.
PS: I'm running WinXP SP3, if it helps.
EDIT: To clarify, hl.exe crashes just as it gets to the part where it should load the menu that appears in the bottom left hand corner of the screen, where you have the choice to create a server, find a server, options or exit.
EDIT 2: Well, adding GameUI.dll to the cl_dlls folder seemed to uhh.. fix the problem . I won't remove this post in case other people make my horribly stupid mistake

Nearly all of us don't have English as a native language,so we can't bother you for that! If you really doubt your English,go here and ask in your OWN language!

I know its "easy" to code it (for ppl how know what they r doing), if some one with the skills can do that for me (and it will be nice and helpful for others too), it will be fantastic! Please can some one do that? : ) Thanks.
