i have that problem too and i live in middle east i used the latest steamclient.dll and i still have this problem maybe you can add an offline option in rev.ini so the emulator do not connect to internet at all
i think you can use some VPN connection from other countries to see this crash

that is a big BAD surprise to see that .... may be the steamclient.dll should make a file on the harddrive . letting users the right to decide if they want to upload the file to an host for helping the dev....
if you want to disable it then use the hosts file located in windows/system32/drivers32/etc
win7 is shitty , you need to save the edited file in your documents folder , then use an explorer.exe in admin mode to move/copy the new hosts in the folder

Lol like we haven't tried it half a year ago with no effect whats so ever... It seems you're new to his analytics that was added so don't comment until you have some serious fix on the issue.
And again, don't embarrass yourself by not knowing how to edit hosts file. It works perfectly as any other text file.

My so called l33t patches actually do something useful unlike your stupid suggestions and probably software.
