i have a problem with RevEmu and Dota 2
when connecting to server using "connect" command in console , Dota drops connection with "Bad Challenge" error
i have to keep connecting and randomly after 3 - 10 times it will connect

this problem only happens in all updates of RevEmu after 2013-03-03 and not in LumaEmu and it is a client side problem

Is there some command I can put on the rev.ini to make my source games like hl2dm, css and dods not connect to the internet?

Their crashing lately and only way to make them run is disconnect/disable first my internet before running the game. I just play with bots anyway.

I don't know if RevEmu allows that, but you can try this program. Launching the game with parameters -noip -nomaster -nodns might also be equivalent.

-noip -nomaster -nodns and nonet ....didn't work. hope there's another way.

ok but I'm using the non-steam and non-steampipe version of this games using the last version before they got converted to steampipe.

how about adding an offline command/option or something so people like me who don't wana bother to update their game since it's heavily customize already can play it even if their internet is on or not?

Anyway I blocked the hl2.exe using winxp default firewall and somehow it works.
i still get the annoying error window but as long I don't close that the game will keep on running.
Sometimes it will crash instantly though.

How can I get dota 2 items to work with Dedicated server? I tried to set ServerIPNSNet but it doesn't work.

No new update for new items in TF 2?

Same issue as kungfulon with TF2 items...
No way to have it working except with listen server :(

Thank your your work ::D

PS : tested on four diferents systems, emulator doesn't work when Windows is installed on RAID array

I also have the error "This server requires that you be running Steam." when I try to connect to a Counter Strike Source server. If you Google you will see that quite a lot of people are having this problem. It is obvious that this RevEmu is badly written. Whoever wrote it didn't test it well enough.

I have RAID1 array on my PC with partitions C: and D:
I installed Counter Strike Source on D: partition and I am getting the "This server requires that you be running Steam." error. This is NOT related to UAC or administrator privileges. I have full administrator account on my PC and it still doesn't work. The error is in the way RevEmu generates STEAM IDs from hard drive details. And this function is shit, and the creator doesn't care.

Anyway, then I inserted a new hard drive into my PC and created a partition G: on it and copied Counter Strike Source folder to G: and started the game. Now it worked. Then I tried to start Counter Strike Source from D: partition again (this is on RAID1) and it worked also. But only if the hard drive G: was in the PC ! If I removed the second hard drive from the PC, the game stopped working again from D: and showed the "This server requires that you be running Steam." error again.

So the reason for this error is shit coding / shit algorithm in RevEmu and NOT some UAC & administration privilege.

Well, if you think revemu is badly written / have a s***ty algorithm, why don't you write your own emu then? I don't have anything related to bir3yk, but still I'm grateful there's still someone continuing working on this emu, he doesn't charge anything of it, and I still manage to play Source engine game without Steam even with unlocked items. Show some respect.

There is a bug in the generation of stimId to raid array, if you are you able to put yourself raid then I think you can buy and licensed game releases in the near ;) I will try to work with the correct raid array.
