I think you should add sample UCLPacks, because I didn't understand anything from the txt file:
1- I want to make a pack for CS: S, but it is not possible to type ":" in a file's name. So it is not possible to make a file named:
OptionPack[Steam@Counter-Strike: Source]Setti Master Server.zip
2- Where is UCL going to extract my pack?
\Steam\steamapps\
\Steam\steamapps\account\
\Steam\steamapps\account\counter-strike source\
Where???

1. Invalid characters should be excluded from the name, so your file will have to be named 'OptionPack[Steam@Counter-Strike Source]Setti Master Server.zip'.
2. It will be extracted in game's root directory, "\Steam\steamapps\account\counter-strike source\".
Hope that helps.

I've tried MiniSteam, Steam-Buster Revolution, TinyLauncher and now this... this is the only one I've got to work without Steam thus far.
This is what I did:
1. Opened up after extracting.
2. Pointed to the GCF's folder (steamapps).
3. Let it detect everything.
4. Launched the game.
So all you need with this is an account that let's you pre-load the games (aka downloading the GCFs) for say, HL2 and DM and then you can play with this no problem.
My compliments to the developer of this one.
I suppose I still need to have my own Steamless Dedicated Server set with sv_lan 0 before I can join that from the client using this program?

i made a shortcut on desktop :
c:\ucl11rc2_241\UCL.exe -appid 215 -steam -game "e:\steam64\steamapps\SourceMods\heart of evil source"
it does not launch the game , ucl does it .
ucl does not accept parameters when lauching games . i think you could add tab for steamemu and tab for hl*.exe
steamemu support could be with :
-Extracted=1
-Silent=1
may be steamid can be there too / could be usefull in case a steamid_ip generated by steamemu is a vac banned ..?
hl*.exe
-preload -heapsize 1048576 -nodns +log on +dev
i tested value of heapsize -kb- with hl.exe won [pre-steam] maximum value is 607871 ; 594 Mo , above it crashs . hl steam does not seem to use it . 40 Mb of cache while hlwon use "573.2 megabyte data cache" with most of maps .
nice app ;]

I just put HL2DM Pro Mod 1.7 in the SourceMods folder and it shows up fine in UCL, however when I try to launch it, I get this error message:
Edit - Ok, restarting UCL fixed that, and I got the HL2DM Pro splash screen, but then got this error message:
Edit - Ok, copying the client.dll from the client version of the Pro Mod fixed that. I tried to create a server on pg_biohazard, got about 80-90% through "loading resources" and received this error message:
Any ideas?

Damn, it should...
I made it pass any additional arguments that are not recognized by UCL (UCL only has "-appid" and "-nogui" parameters) to the game. It worked just fine every time I tested it :/
Do you get any message after double clicking the shortcut?
jeremyofmany, I think I'll have to download the mod to check it out, but I currently have no Steam content on my computer Maybe you could try changing the AppID of the mod (right click and select "Edit Content") to 215, or if it is 215 already, changing it to the AppID of HL2:DM?

The Pro Mod already has an App ID of 320, the same as HL2DM. I tried changing it to 215 and UCL said I did not have all the GCFs for the game. I don't know what game 215 is for, but anyway...
Yes, you should certainly try the Pro Mod. If you can get that working with your program, that would be excellent!
If you have a Steamless setup yourself, you can use the Pro Mod with that, it isn't dependant on Steam.

sixcentgeorge, it may be that UCL is extracting the required content, since I wanted to not load the GUI when starting from command line, it extracts the content without showing any message and it may take some time.
To save some ram, UCL quits after launching game through command line. If you want lower ram usage when UCL is run with the GUI, minimize it to tray, then it requires only a couple of megs (depending on the amount of content loaded, it uses 1,7 MB with my Steam apps loaded when minimized to tray).
jeremyofmany, thanks for the link. I will surely check it out ASAP, but it may be until weekend

g3cka i share with You with my knowlage lol. If someone have "Unable to load authentation library" then He must replace dll with newest available from steam "vstdlib_s.dll" "tier0_s.dll" "steamclient.dll". If this will not work then he have to delete game installtion (whole or just bin folder) and then reinstall game. For me this method work for 99%. I hope that help somehow.

lol, thanks Sas , I knew I've seen the error somewhere (when playing with extracted stuff).
jeremyofmany, try what Sasio told, replace the dlls (except steam.dll) in UCL's directory with newest from Steam. If that doesn't help, try "Extract Minimum Files" option on HL2DM in UCL, it rewrites the extracted files of selected game.

@Gecka and Sasio,
I tried the following:
1. Backed up the 3 DLLs, copied the ones from Steam to UCL, started UCL, launched HL2DM Pro Mod 1.7, tried to create server, 80-90% through "loading" resources", same error message.
2. Restored the DLLs, launched UCL again, right-clicked HL2DM, extracted minimal content, launched Pro Mod, same thing.

Keep new dlls in UCL (those from Steam). Then better delete whole game installtion (here HL2DM) then try to launch game with UCL. New dlls and clean install work as one solution.

I did this:
1. Copied the Steam DLLs to UCL.
2. Deleted the HL2DM content.
3. Redetected it.
4. Did Minimal Installation.
5. Launched the Pro Mod.
6. Tried to create server.
Same error.
