so if i turned off steam guard what should i put for steam guard?

if steam guard is turned off then leave the field empty.

With or without steam guard, it's the same thing.

I can't download anything.

There's no error, it just does nothing.

Go to "Preferences" tab and set "Logs level" to "Error". Then you will see the errors in "Logs" tab.
If you see there an ticket error, then that means: you DON'T owning the game.
Otherwise, try SEVERAL times to download, and NOT try ONLY ONE time and then give up. Because sometimes the servers are (really) busy and first try to download fails.

I can't download with my backup account anymore. The account on which the games are works fine actually. Did Valve finally disable access to unowned files?

What game? Not all games can be downloaded.

Hey guys,

I'm still testing, but I think I've found the solution/bug for the "not downloading" Problem.

I've set my "Steam Apps language" to my mother language (german) when i started CFT the first time. With this option set, I was not able to resume any downloads or update any gcf/ncf files. Then I decided to delete the BLOB File containing the settings and start from scratch with the CTF default settings ... and voir là ... it works again.

I think the problem is based on any different language setting then "english"


Note: Steam guard is disabled in my case ... havent tried with enabled guard

No good. Still have the same issue.

Please help.

1. I have version 1.1.1 and when I try to validate an account it just returns an error.

2. I then enter the steamguard code from email into box, still an error.

3. The updater just says please start with cf toolbox, how the heck do you start it with cf toolbox?

Got it to authenticate my account, but now it says outdated on apps. But when resume is clicked nothing happens...

The log shows nothing after putting it on error...

Also what is the current version of CFToolbox, the updater plugin does not work worth crap. And I have 1.1.1

and anytime I click resume on the outdated apps this is all it says with all logs on

DEBUG - Authentication : Client connected : gmod_******
INFO - Authentication : Authentication succeded : GMod_******

and nothing else happens
