so many people have this time problem ... it will be fixed in the next version (but it wont come before maybe 1 or 2 months maybe (surely) more... depending on my free time ...) this error means FOR SURE that your computer time is not good configured OR that valve servers time is not good configured. i would tell it's your computer rather than valve servers so be sure that the timezone is properly configured in windows. to have an idea, u can maybe use the time comparator i posted once (if still available, it should be somewhere in this thread) the next version will try to login and if a time problem is encountered, it will adjust the time in cf toolbox (it wont change windows time) and it will then try to log again with the corrected time value. |

ok i know why it said "File not available or not owned", because i didnt have the gcf files, i still have problems, i downloaded the mini gcfs for episode 2, now it says fuckin download error, is there somekind of tutorial to download games, i dont get how this works, i mean whas the difference between mini gcfs and normal gcfs and then theres fucking ncfs, i dont get why it wont let me run batch when the thing is 100 when i can play normaly on original steam, wtf is the purpose of creating a fucking patch, the help tab isnt much much help, please post some friendly written advice or is there a tutorial for cft toolbox? please post link or some advice so i can get the hang of this. and then be able to post "Thanks this is awsome" like most you. |

minigcfs are GCFs that are very small but allowing you to download the games. like halflife engine, tf2 client content and so on NCFs are just description files and the real files are in the steamapps\common folder, GCFs are some kind of archive, but uncompressed and I don't think you can download ep2 with minigcfs this download error is normal for files and means you can't dl the file because it's protected. get it through the steam content sharing |

steamCooker, thanks for this nice app, that makes my non steam client life acheivable, I would like to know if the following is possible, or if you would ever consider adding it in (as it is probably not mainstream and a lot of work I have a lot of computers at home, if I use CFToolbox to maintain files on one of them, would it be possible to have CF Toolbox on the other machines be able to update their GCFs directly from the master files? I know I can do this by building the patches myself, but It would be so nice to just click an "update from master" button on the client and voila the client is updated for me. This would be a huge step up from the valve cafe programs that sync the clients by copying the whole GCF again! which I find strange. Anyway, thanks for this app, once again! |

ok, just a counting mistake there, should be fix in the future version... Mitsukarina, it's a good idea , i would need to include a content server in cf toolbox. but i don't know if it's a safe idea ... we need to think about it |
