Here's a screenshot of my steam collection. As you can see, 2 games are correctly identified as outdated. The other 4 games/files which show at 9x% are actually perfectly playable on undead-steam
EDIT: [shameless plug] plz someone save my gunboy adventures and my threadspace hyperbol Outdated games make baby jesus cry.

2 games are identified as outdated because there is a newest version of those games and the 4 others games are in the latest version but incomplete.
Create the archives of your outdated files then post the links here. We will make some patch

@ Darkness
Yeeessss, the 2 games are outdated and I have requested them. But like I said the other 4 are not incomplete .. they are ... complete, fully playable.
Thanks for your uploading work btw.

the incomplete .ncf can be cause of config files which are modified by the game, and which sizes are now smaller than in the .ncf description...
the incomplete gcf must be cause some files are missing in it (not required files for playing maybe ...)
try to :
1 - "correct" these files first, it sometimes fixe a few things (but it may delete your .ncf games config files...)
2 - post an archive of the correct files to ask for the missing files

That makes sense, thanks. But I screwed up Spear of Destiny a while ago while fiddling with it in CF Toolbox, I don't want to risk those HUGE gcf ... not until I back them up
Keep working on the proggy, it rocks !

I do not believe there is any risk of CF Toolbox deleting your gcf and ncf files. I may be wrong but I have never had a problem when correcting my files.
Oh well, I guess it is always good to be sure by backing up, I have learnt that many times.

Damn, you did not search that far. Look here.

Wow, I really worded my post wrong, I guess it should say, "There is always risk when doing something but I have not had a problem as of yet. Backing up is a good idea.".
Thanks for the program.

hey. i already asked that question some months ago, but then the half of the forum got lost, as you remember.
You once said, that you were experimenting with also creating gcf's.
Would it be possible to create a gcf from a ncf and the content of the common-folder that belongs to it??
that would be great, as we could then seperate the games from our configuration and manipulation, just as f. ex. counter-strike does. we would still have a clean original-gcf and a folder with mods, bots and such in it.
thanks a lot for this great tool!

It is. I did that some time ago, but only for backup purpose... never tried to actually play with these "backup-GCF" files...

I thought to code it (in fact i coded it already : it's a patch from an empty ncf to a 100% one) but i think steam would not find/recognise the gcf. it would search only for the ncf...

If you create a patched CR.blob it should work with SteamEmu or not?
But I think that's a stupid idea, tbh.

Won't work, as you would also have to set which files should be extracted, but as the game won't search for files in the gcf when starting you would have to extract all files from gcf. So you have them twice on the HDD, in the gcf and extracted.
