Hi
first i want to say GOOD WORK!!

but i need some help ;-)

i used "eSTEAMATiON" on my CSS Linux server --> all people had an ID (most ip bounded but... better than nothing)
The Problem is that if an Admin with original steam join they join with the ID: 666:88:666 but in "status" or HLSW i can see the real ID not 666:88:666...

The Problem is that they dont have admin access when they join.

After mapchange they had there ID and Admin access.

Must i recrack it? Or can i change the settings?

I hope you can understand this and hoepe that you can help me :)

BECOUSE YOU PATCHED ENGINE FILES WITHOUT -esteamation-prep PARAMETER, please follow manual.

I use default config at all, so i removed esteamation.cfg and i keeped default config, it doesnt allow old SteamEmu(problem od IP based steamids) what come with outdated cs source client.

I've got a problem with VUP everytime i try to patch engine_amd.so I get this :

so engine_amd.so is not original one from valve? Its already modded with another patcher?

hey guys, i`ve succesfully patched my CS:S server but i have a little problem,
on every connect (i guess) a .dat file is created in my server directory.
so my question is : how can i disable that sh*t? its flooding my server directory with those .dat files.

You are using RevEMU, this is ViTYAN's Projects related thread. Those .dat files is creating RevEMU and its becouse logging is enabled.

jojo86: engine file what are you trying to patch with VUP was propably already patched/edited with another type of patcher? Always use ORIGINAL engine file with VUP.

I have a problem i patched the server with vup_i686 with the parameter -esteamation-prep then i copied the file from esteamation to the bin folder then i get this error:


  1. [root@GamesSrv srcds]# mcedit srcds.log
  2. srcds.log          [B---] 103 L:[  1+ 4   5/  6] *(254 / 256b)= t 116 0x74
  3. Auto detecting CPU
  4. Using SSE2 Optimised binary.
  5. Server will auto-restart if there is a crash.
  6. AppFramework : Unable to load module bin/engine_i686.so!
  7. Unable to load interface VEngineCvar003 from bin/engine_i686.soSun Nov  8 16:18:18 EET 2009: Server Quit



If i patch normally like vup_i686 bin/engine_i686.so it works fine. But i need the eSTEAMATiON :(

Server: Linux CENTOS
Game: CS:SOURCE

cigraphics:
delete all engine files, update server with hldsupdatetool and try patch it again. Also try patch it on your windows machine and upload it back.

solved. :)
i removed the engine files, then i updated it with ./steam .. update command then patched with vup copied the files and it worked :)
