Quote: Enabling RevLoader in UCL What are you looking at when posting such things here?To play games like Dawn of War 2, Fallout 3 - games that will throw error like this "Application load error : X:XXXXXX" -- Edit -- Or use Phoenix

There are 15 pages of posts here, and I don't have time to read all of them. A quick forum search turned up nothing. Could somebody tell me if this supports launching games like Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Call of Duty World at War, Assassin's Creed, etc? If not, I'd really appreciate it if you told me what DOES support launching them offline, besides a legit steam account with them activated on it. Thanks. |

Well, as I've already wrote, if the method posted above (enabling RevLoader) doesn't work, then try Phoenix. If it also won't work, then the devs will think of the way to launch it. |

Oh alright I wasn't sure if MW2 fell into the category of games like fallout 3. But I'll check it out when I can and will report back. Thanks. |

I've hit a very funny problem. I updated my UCL to 4.1+ hotfix. Every time I try to lauch UCL, it crashes with a generic error message, Visual Studio 2008 says, that it's missing a dll file. Any ideas? |

Check if you deleted some dll by mistake. These are UCL exes and dlls

Everything is present and counted for EDIT: It was a System.DLLNotFoundException. How can I find out which dll is missing? I've already uninstalled and reinstalled my whole .net framefork installation. |

Jansza wrote: Everything is present and counted for EDIT: It was a System.DLLNotFoundException. How can I find out which dll is missing? I've already uninstalled and reinstalled my whole .net framefork installation. First of all, rextract alpha 4.1 in the same dir (confirm overwrite) and then extract the new UCL.steam.dll in the same dir. If it doesnt work delete settings. Open Command Prompt (cmd), write the whole path to UCL an write -reset Eg. D:\UCL\ucl.exe - reset and press enter. If you don't know how to use cmd you'll reset them another way. On Vista/7 go to c:\users\<username>\AppData\Local or on XP go to c:\documents and settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data and delete the folder UCL And then, in options, keep the emulator to RevEmu and Manual Launch mode (all are default). mucidbin wrote: Good job. It will be added in next release. |

This is the same v2 a41 with the fixed dll packed and with updated RevEmu v9.81 RC4 and CDR. So fixes are: -The dll fix is that now you can run UCL on Vista and 7 under Standard acoount. There was one write to HKLM in reg (steam path) -It also has one line fix in UCL.exe with steamapps auto detection on first run. -Turkish translation made by mucidbin is included. As you see this is primarily intended for new UCL users so they don't need to manually update the UCL.Steam.dll and RevEmu.

I downloaded a Retail Dvd of Half Life 2 The Orange Box and i don't have any serial, is possible to install and play it with UCL ? Please reply Thank you You can't install it with UCL. You need tools like SIMPACK, sisInstall (command line tools) or Phoenix Launcher (graphic interface tool). SIMPACK can't create gcfs, that tool is used primarily for ncf games. (orange box is gcf). You will need sisInstall and gcf archives created with CFToolbox. As for Phoenix, Im not sure if it can crete gcfs, so if i have orange box retail, i would use sisInstall. ATM i'm little busy, but tomorrow if i have time I'll send the archives and how to do it. |

Thanks for reply. I will try to use the tools you said but your help is more than welcomed. Hope you will have some time to spare. A tutorial would be very good. Cheers |
