- @r17300:~/server/l4d$ ./srcds_run -console +ip 94.23.7.37 -port 27015 -game left4dead -maxplayers 4 +exec server.cfg +map l4d_vs_hospital01_apartment
- Unknown command "r_decal_cullsize"
- Unknown command "+sv_lan"
- Unknown command "mat_bloom_scalefactor_scalar"
- ConVarRef room_type doesn't point to an existing ConVar
-
Take a look in yer server.cfg again. +sv_lan 0 should be used on the commandline. or use just plain old sv_lan 0 in yer cfg. [without the +] You should also comment out those other convars that are unknown or not existent. also I use +hostip x.x.x.x +hostport xxxxx instead of +ip and -port... +hostport specifies yer WAN-ip while +ip is for LAN-side ip... U#0 wrote: Too many crashes on l4d servers with 2.5 Samething here too, buddy. Fixed it by updating the server files via hldsupdatetool, re-applied the rev-emu 2.5, and then had to chmod/chgrp all server files to my linux user profile I had installed l4d server under... I've only recently started using linux, but this rev-emu is the great!! I'd suggest trying that. update, rev-emu, and check all yer file permissions... good luck.

thanks for your help. We removed all the unknown commands but still get some errors: - ConVarRef test_progression_loop doesn't point to an existing ConVar
and every time someone trys to join the server this error shows up in the server log: - -> Reservation cookie ffffffffffffffff: reason ReplyReservationRequest
Does anybody know what it means and how to fix it? Thanks!

Is there a way to give all No Steam users a specific SteamID? I mean like for a specific IP?
So if IP is 192.168.0.111, the SteamID generated is STEAM_0:3:1032498109.
Just requesting for that feature in rev.cfg.

DionysDo you have libSteam2Auth.so in BIN folder? Have you read the line where it says Quote: # Use the ExternalModule setting to enable STEAM features # such as VAC, Valve Master Server communication, etc. # If this is not configured, the server will not be VAC secured, # and will not be listed on Valve master server. # Also, if this is not configured, the server will be invisible # for some server browsers like HLSW. # To use this setting correctly, you need to specify the path # to the original Valve's steamclient library # NOTE: Please specify path relative to your server executable!
(bin/steamclient_valve.so)

RevEmu v2.5 in CS:S seems to work flawlessly when it's used with VUP, When I used revemu with original engine_i686.so it kicked the users with the error of duplicated steamID (steam_id_pending). then i patched with parameters and said NO to all features, because the revemu would do the rest and it worked, all clients with proper ID

Hello Shmelle,
When too person with the same IP (in a lan house or using 2 pcs at home) join a css server, they are kicked with the steam ID already in use error (because they get the same steam ID)
Can you find a solution for this? Like patch the libs to remove that error or change STEAM_0:0:23223105 on the first player to STEAM_0:1:23223105 on the 2nd player with the same IP address?
Thank you very much.

FrostFlame There is a solution - just use the REV emu on both client PCs, with SteamClient setting set to True
