thanx but that wouldnt work if you use garena for multiplayer. you must add some oft these parameters in startstring.

Stryder thanks for your patch it works 100% for me in singleplayer i have been trying to play through garena and when i connect to a game it ctd with no error so missing reg value? i guess, also in the garena setting i point it to the l4d2.bat could this be causing the multiplayer crash, should i point it just to l4d2.exe for garena? thanks a lot once again nice work ::D ::D

I've uploaded my files. I use Stryder's fix and it works great
Untouched iso decrypted with SimPack. Updated with CF Toolbox to client.ncf v2 and common.ncf v6, validation and completion 100% for both.

OK, the answer was pretty simple. Loader passes all additional params besides the exe name to the app it loads. So, use this for example:

Wonder if its possible to make the iniGen program make use of stryder.txt log to generate stryder.ini

Just played through c1m4 with yer loader and finished the mission. No crashes, but a mdmp was generated.

i'll test it but i don't have access to my favourite servers because steam is closed.
How can I solve this?
When steam is lauched it just closes at the menu load.

Only the first command is ignored so try -console -console -novid, it works for me

you can do it like in the readme, create a shortcut to the Launcher.exe like this:
"C:\Program Files\Left 4 Dead 2\Launcher.exe" "left4dead2.exe" -console -novid
