EDIT: Acts the same using revloader
EDIT2: Well, seems that Client.dll had a bug, I replaced it with the old one (7.08 MB instead of the new 7.09 MB one) and got it working again.


WOW, Steam is realy messing up stuff for us xD
Stryder, If u want (it may dont be userful, but I can post my log)
i dont get any CTD on any update/new cracked client/dll

Could you try this package? (just extract the 2.0.0.4 package and overwrite with this one)

Is it possible to post the stryder.ini too (feel free to censor part of the paths) if this one dont work

Ok Guys... now i have Complete Kill my L4D2 Folder and ReDownloaded it from Steam ( Orginal Version)

Then i have Closed Steam and copyed the client.dll and the stryder.dll, loader.exe to the directorys..

So i Tryed to start a Singleplayer ame.. but the Game stand on 100% and nothing happens...

so now i tryed the Alternative Loader from Stryder (left4ded2.exe) now the Game Loads 100% and then CTD

Make sure your left4dead2.exe is 385 024 bytes
and Client.dll (hence the capital letter) is 7 425 624 bytes.

Hello,

Me and some friends frequently host small Lan Partys at each others house and on our last Lan Party we all downloaded and installed L4D2, but we only started playing on the third day of the Lan when one of us found this L4D2 Loader. We are all using a Razor1911 release + razor patch + Loader 2.0.0.5 and although i'm the only one with the game in portuguese we can all play with no problems.
We have 2 questions:
1 - How do we change our names? It's a little annoying that we are all called razor1911 but this isn't a major problem;
2 - You all probably heard about the 16, 20, 32 or whatever player servers out there. Can anyone tell me how this is done??? We would all like to play co-op together but the 4 player limit is a pain in the 4$$, and joining one of these available servers would probably suck because of all the lag and the lack of cooperation and communication between us and the remaining players, because there would be 8 of us playing cooperatively and another 8+ playing on their own.

If anyone could answer these questions the 8 of us would be extremely thankful.

hmmmm i dont understand the World !! Today the Game works fine !! And i dont have Change anything !

The Logfile is mutch longer then yesterday... and.. do we need the stryder.ini ?? because i dont have one :-)

Theres your problem. The ini file is there to provide information about the enviroment the CEG file was built on,if your system returns different information, it wont work. Make sure you run IniGen.exe to make an ini and you shouldnt have any CTD's at all

As a chinese, I find that I can change a Chinese name by using your InGen.exe . However, when I launch the game & join a server, the whole chinese name is converted into numbers of messy codes.

Can u fix this problem ?

Open stryder.ini with something like Notepad2, make sure your name is in proper Chinese characters first, then go to File > Encoding > UTF-8 and then Save. It doesn't matter what text editor you use, just as long you as can change the encoding to UTF-8 then it will work.

I didn't tested yet but it sounds like the "definitive" crack, as it purges CEG entirely from the game... so it's well worth a try.

I tested Outlaws crack out.
PROs:
-Works well with SP
-No crash to desktop while playing.
-No error on exit.

CONs:
-No in-game name included - name shows as [unknown]
Need to use the Name Enabler + autoexec.cfg to get in-game name.
-No MP! Joining private servers doesn't work - crashes after mapload when you click OK.

Conclusion:
Stick with Stryder's Loader for best gaming experience!
