Yeah i figured that out long time ago. Have Steam and SandBox folder for testing. I just wanted to test the download feature with cs go depots alone.
Confusing part was that there is old builds and password protected builds (which obviously are for beta testers and devs)
No matter what build i choose it still tries to download the last one and when my game is updated it doesn't download nothing.
This is why i asked what is the good purpose of it since if i own the game steam updates everything anyways.

Hi steamCooker!

The latest version has the same issue as before, it's not working under XP. Could you fix it? I would like to see those ugly progress bars... :D

Thanks in advance!

  3. ERROR - Unknown message type
  4.  WARN - Unknown CM server message
  5.  INFO - Connecting failed

You need to fill the [account] variable in TINcft.ini

was your steam client connected with the same account while u tried to login with tincft ?
i don't have this error "ERROR - Exception (0) : Unknown message type : 19275240" the other ones are "normal"

not sure, but don't think so, anyway it does work now. Maybe was something with steam network...

It does download app info, but still shows
  1.  INFO | Connecting to CM server
  2. ERROR | Unknown message type
  3. ERROR | Unknown message type
  4. DEBUG | Logged on
  5.  WARN | Unknown CM server message
  6.  WARN | Unknown CM server message
  7.  INFO | Connected to CM server

CDR downloaded at program launch, but AppInfo - not. Since CDR is now almost unused, can you swap these operations?
And can you anytime implement more "user-friendly" .manifest file viewer as it was in "GCFScape" for gcf/ncf? Still have never seen such viewer anywhere, alas, but anyway, it would be definitely useful thing...

p.s. This appears when holding some operation more than 3 minutes...

well you can print a file/directory-tree using the -showtree argument of this tool viewtopic.php?f=29&t=60689 , but as you sad theres no user-friendly gui for that

downloading the whole appinfo cache is quite slow, and requires and account, but yeah, i should think about getting rid of the cdr.
i'm afraid i don't have much time to code a gui to browse the manifest :( but i'll keep the idea in mind in case i have some spare time one day :)

It is not broken. Game updated. Look SteamDB. You need
230172_3492896723076112126.manifest
