Dota 2 freezes when I try to start a server or opening the settings.

Does anyone have an idea why?
Is it possible to play against bots correctly? There's an error with Emulators like RevEmu where there spawn about 7 bots on the own side (no matter if Radiant or Scourge).
Did that happen to you too?

Just set sv_lan to 1 and start your server by console.

When I try to host a Half-Life 2 Deathmatch server I receive the following message: "CD Key authentication invalid for internet servers." So I cannot host a server. How can I fix this? I already tried several command lines (without "-steam" or with "-insecure"). Thanks in advance!

When I start dota.exe via SmartSteamLoader, game starts, but I can't do anything as it shows me this error "Searching for the DOTA 2 network". How can I fix this? I'm using SmartSteamEmu v1.1.3 and latest DOTA2.

Right now, revEmu is one of emu that capable to emulate DoTA 2 - but without its lobby functionality. But in return you'll be able to enable items in the game.

@ x3r0.13urn - I know that. I use revLoader for CS:GO personally, but I'm setting up DOTA 2 for my friend's cafe. He has 10 computers, and sometimes we arrange LAN parties, so revLoader won't work in my case (doesn't emulates lobby). Thanks for replying.

x3ro,

I know and that's not the problem - my problem is the Bot-Bug in Dota 2: There are too much bots joining the server and on the wrong side of teams.. As far as I know, there is no emu, which can handle bots properly in offline mode. Creating lobby doesn't affec tto me - at least when you're using the console. You can set up a whole LAN-Game using the console.

@DocTek

Just activate the console and type following lines:

sv_lan 1
sv_cheats 1
map dota.bsp

This will set up a server. Because of this, the connecting-message and lobby-button is not necessary.
