Why U bothering Reaver? it is already out there... You just need to download the teknogods GFWL launcher(it is on their forums), that is capable to use that game for coop in lan among a bunch of other titles, like lost planet, ect...(you'll need tunggle/vpn for that) but it is working i can confirm it, we played with my friend thru the whole RE5 story...

I can't use teknogods anymore on all GFWL games...
If anyone could tes RE5 mp please let me know if yours is still working...

GFWL shutdown has nothing to do with LAN.
the only thing I can tell you is that RE5 in fact has some connectivity problem as i noticed, but since you can see the other's game it means that LAN-MP is working, maybe you should try first of all to delete any changes you have made (ex. connection override registry value) and disable any other network adapter that is not the one you are using for lan play, if you still have problem and if you are going trough ethernet connection, you should try with WIFI or viceversa, and also with an hotspot on your mobile (without internet connection) , if it's still not working , as last try, connect both pc's to a tunngle VPN and try with teknogods tutorial. I can't help further, sorry.

I made a plugin which fixes SmartSteamEmu 1.1.8 for the new SteamAPI version 2.37.91.26 . Currently I've only tested it with PAYDAY 2 though.
I named it SSE_HACK because of no imagination for a better name.
This is the v1.00 of the SSE_HACK plugin. Place the SSE_HACK.dll to your SmartSteamEmu\Plugins folder.

Missing interfaces added:
- ISteamClient016
- ISteamUGC003
- ISteamHTMLSurface002

NOTE: All the new functions are currently only bypassed and not properly implemented, and if a game uses these new functions they will not work.

I tried many combinations, (even by cracking the last version with Voksi Stub Patcher ) but it seems that it has a problem.
I'm using this with evolvehq.com currently to make the LAN connection.
The problem is that it seems that both players aren't synchronized.
We can't see each other fire and it seems that we even see different enemies.

Were you able to play correctly?
Is it some kind of protection or it comes from a "bug" from the patcher Voksi Stub Patcher or SmartSteamEmu?

Or I'm simply doing it wrong?

I experienced exactly the same thing, that we saw different enemies, didn't see each other shots but saw an indicator of where the other player was.
I think it's the way the game is suppose to work in multiplayer, but I honestly didn't investigate further.
