"While I heared about many of these ticket problems, I myself was not having them until I restarted my computer later this week when I noticed a steam update. Now of course My client blob file was read-only (Yes im very slick, expected this one), I ended up deleting it to get a fresh one and see why people are getting problems. The file is partially encrypted, really dumb of valve, and it also depends on the file in configs folder that contains your account names so that it may store passwords. Assuming steam remembers your password, they can update the time stamp and kind of "freeze" it because your not directly connected to use it, but the server or steam it self will check to see if your on the right time.

To fix this problem, start up non-steam like you usually would, get that log-in box, erase BOTH boxes, password and username, type in your username in the first box, password in the second, click login, and wait for the firsr time the box repops up because it didn't go trough, now that it comes back, erase the boxes again, and uncheck remember password, then type in your info and log-in, you are now able to play. I myself will be making a crack to prevent this dumb shit from happening in the future. Who sais legit players don't use steam? Yea i went legit guys, but i can still help the community"

Blob partially encrypted huh... perhaps there might be some way to determine the algorithm valve uses, then edit the blob and resign it. Then again, it probably wouldn't make a lick of difference. :cry:

what is it talking about. The username box is greyed out.

all he said was redo ur password, then the second time the error comes up uncheck remember password, but it dont work
