im all for this as many of you already know
but this cracked/emulated non steam servers/clients idea
just won't work unless we have enough people involved..
and it just seems people aren't willing to go that route.

ppl even yet think, emporio, or anyone will solve their problems, and will wait another day to can play again on their regular steam servers.
but my oppinion, valve would make the crackers life even more harder.
so the only real alternative would be this non-steam servers.
but as i say, ppl would turn for this methon only when 9 upd. doesn't will work after 2-3 weeks.
and the community must have time, to grow. it's only 6 days here, since the new update came out, do not wait for a big community.
i remember von/novon days @ 1.4-1.5 times. if you have luck, ppl will use this method.

that's great and all h3llboss.
so... gonna buy the game.
Screw cracked servers, I don't live in any of the places they're opened and I wanna play with people from my country and not get 2xx ping
I don't mind spending about 40-50$ for HL2.
Unless an update comes out that allows me to play CS:S online without paying, I'll just buy the damn game
What I don't understand is why you're so pissed at Valve and Gabe?
What'd they ever do to you?
I mean, they're not like Microsoft! They don't make a crappy browser and make 90% of the world use it!
They make DAMN good games and frankly, I think Valve has right to be pissed at crackers since it spent SO much time on HL2 and you can see that! Look at how detailed everything is!

HiNRG, can you upload your blob, because with this program we can change a client registry blob http://tommunism.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4 , so with your blob(which works) and my blob i can see the differences, and maybe try to find somethign.

This has already been done and it was somthing about wrong timestamps. Doesn't work to fix it atm.
