Why is the Latency so extreme high?
I have tested on servers which have low Ping too.

I also have high ping now.
Before i had about 50 and now i have over 1000?

make sure you dont have any other major processes running, or d/l or uploading anything....and make sure you defrag your pc and run disk clean-up frequently

Ok, thanks. So it's not because of it's cracked then?

shouldn't be...i had no problems with any of the cracks.....but it could be your pc needs an upgrade also, i dunno what your specs are

type net_graph 3 in console to let fps show up, if there is high chokes and losses, configure your rate etc may help

Ha ha, I tried to launch CS Source in Steam but I couldn't start because I got errors when I was going to see if there were any errors in Tides.

i too get higher ping, usually 150 or so but my fps is alittle higher. maybe they made a change in the netcode? and yes, bittorent is a major process. also one of the most bandwith/memory hogging programs there are. other major programs may incluse aol/yahoo/msn messenger,

I played CS Source on Steam now and the Latency was as high as it is in the cracked version, so it has nothing to do with that.
