We CAN quit fighting this ticket error battle with Valve and come out victorious by way of keygens...

All we need is a Half-Life 1 keygen or an ATI voucher keygen.

No, I'm not asking for a free account because I have a valid HL1 account which has a valid ticket so I can play HL2, HL2, DM, CSS, ...

Especially for all the years HL1 has been out, I'm suprised there is yet to be a working keygen for it... after all, something such as AUTOCAD, worth MUCH more than Half-Life 2 or Counter-Strike: Source... has been cracked.

If we have a keygen, we can all play, without the damn ticket error.

Please feel free to point out holes in my plan.

big hole. the keys arent "genned". there is no set pattern in usable online keys. never have been. sorry, unless you can get a list, online cdkeys cant be genned.

You see, half-life 2 keys aren't checked with a dll.

They MUST be checked with steam and its database...

Keygens are made by cracking the dll which checks the validity of the key... no dll with hl2.

It was a good idea, glad he asked as I learned something from teh responses.
I always wondered why nobody had made a keygen for HL1 when everything else out there had been cracked already.

Well, apart from the non-steam games that have been cracked I don't see what we can do.

We'll have to jsut use the ones we have on LAN's until something (or nothing) happens and our heroes save the day.

Where i work we have about 70 copies of hl2, and also platinum packs. I opened about 20 of them and got the keys and then sealed them back up thats the easiest way to get keys
