The contents of the "half-life 2 content.gcf"-file isn't required for CS: Source to work, is it..?
Did you generate reslists for all DirectX level..?

no, i used the "built-in" .lst file from masm.

and i can't start it on lan, it says steam.dll required. and if i copy my steam.dll to the \bin dir, it has another error...
can i run it w/o steam? if yes, how?

i've played already css in steam (i bought it... ), now i'd need a SMALL version (not 4gigs), for lan-play, with server, and NO STEAM. (steam suxx @ lans...) how can i make this?

EDIT: how can i make a really small one, like digitalzones' (700megs(??))?

I think that .lst-file is outdated by now.
Even if it isn't, I suggest you generate your own files.
You need a Non Steam crack.
Here is a good one.
