t12an04 wrote: so this is newer than the CScz multiplayer download on the main page? i just played it, and how come some of the content is CS 1.6 stuff? like the knife, deagle is back to silver, and the models are different? i thought the cz game was supposed to have all this new fancy stuff....
All the new fancy stuff were supposed to be released, from a Software Publisher Rirtual, however a legal battle came, and Rirtual was scrapped of the Condition-Zero project, so they've turned to Turle Rock Studios to complete the project, questions as to why Rirtual was scrapped and even more questions as to explain why it took this long to release the game when the quality of the game is questionable, for many of us it's beyond our circumstances to do anything about it.
Valve have finally came to finish off the project, so the suppose to be new models were scrapped along with the sounds, now they are still using the existing models from CS.
Basically for those people who have non-steam CS and condition-Zero Mappack, it's basicaly the same thing when you compare the 2 products.
In my point of view what the game was once a Huge hit is now a mediocre menace. I wouldn't be suprised for many who feel this game lost its appeal and many CS Fans will certainly be dissapointed.

well, when i dled the .exe file from the site u gave, i installed it on my main computer (i dl stuff on downstairs comp.), and when i installed it, it installed to C:/Program Files/Valve". when i went into my folder, i said, "wtf" (extactly those words). there was no hl.exe or no hl engine to run the game. so what i did was copy the czero folder (thats all there was with all the cz files in it) to my no steam CS1.6 folder( first off, i didnt dl the CS1.6 from your site, cuz it took so long . so what i did, was extracted the .GCF file from my steam apps folder, and then took the hl engine files from the half-life-engine.GCF file from steam, and finally, i extracted the half-life.GCF for the game to run. so i thought id do an old fashioned CS installment: put in the CStrike folder into "C:/Sierra/Half-life" haha, and put the half-life files into the dir as well. so now i have an installment. i copied a shortuct to my desktop of hl.exe, and set the command to execute CStrike, "-game CStrike". now i have CS 1.6. works perfectly fine, and its a non steam installment. YAY.) now back to the czero folder from the v2 installment or whatever: i took that folder and copied(i dont want to move it from my program files folder, since thats not a good idea and it would ruin my comp.) it to "C:/Sierra/Half-Life" dir. Once again, i map a shortcut of hl.exe to "-game czero" on my desktop. now i have condition zero v2.0, CS 1.6, non steam, and i also dled czero sp, and czero multi. v1.3 from your site. so i have 4 of the games. and for v2, i just replaced the sounds with czero 1.3 sounds, and the models, and just changed the vgui menus for v2.0 by replacing with v.13 ones. so thats what i have done since yesterday and till now. hehe.

and if u are wondering why i replaced the v2 models and vgui, and sounds, its cuz of this:
the v2 had CS1.6 content, and that is not much of a difference. i have CS 1.6 to play if i wanna do old fashioned CS, and i didnt want to play the newest updated CScz that has the CS 1.6 content. lets just say i like variety. but then i didnt want v1.3 cz since the engine is not updated and v2 engine runs even more smoother. so yeah...

In CZ RC1 version nothing of these questions happens.
Just Click icon to play (Single or Multiplayer) Just Click icon to make a fully functional dedicated server.
Simple like this.

Are any of you guys having sound problems? I'm getting a skipping sound, whenever the missions are being completed (the music) and on the Intro screen. Bots, gunfire, and nades are being heard clearly. If you know what the problem may be please post a solution. Also i know my sound-card is ok, because plays normal sounds just fine. It's only when i play the music and intro screen from both the single-player CZ or the deleted scenes.

The sounds are in mp3 format..... that means MORE cpu usage....
umv: stop advertising your release in my thread
and also, Smoke123: did you get my release or the single player release from the main page?

Smoke123: then probably is a windows problem or codeCS conflict... or... hmm... what CPU do you have ?
If it's one of the first 2... a windows reinstall could solve it
If you have a CPU at less than 1ghz... Then I wouldn't know... I also noticed a huge fps drop on my computer
in CS 1.6 I have around 90fps... but on CZ I have around 50-60 Probably I could get this fixed if I get a new video card

Can I suggest to you, do according to what we recommend, download the non-steam version form this site, then install the condition-zero from this thread.
Install the non-steam 1st along with the condition-zero mod and your problems are solved.
I don't know what you are doing in your case, if I think that you are trying to rip part of steam's files and import it to your folder, i can guarantee you that your method will not work, unless you use special software and proper hardware to run it.
Please as a recommendation DOWNLOAD the non-steam from this site, i knwo the file is big, I can assure you that it WILL save you a lot of trouble that it is worth.... Then you can proceed to install the condition-zero mod that's just been recently released.
Here you go my 2 cents worth..
