guess whats my client called RIPCAT STEAM lool ok and it even pwns all the clinets oiver here how? on the normal clients ytou can play on crackes servers only on my clint you just cant play loool anyways just messing around and hey great effort hope we keep gettinmg programmers like you all. kep it up.

I've updated my GCF in order to test your program but ...

1 - Created a new folder
2 - Download Rat-Steam and then Installed it on that folder
3 - After updated all my GCF's using normal steam, - i've made a copy of HL2 and CS:S to the RatSteam -> SteamApps.

Well, i've just realized i need to ( install game first ) so i did it.

It start's the extract method of the GCF ... ( it takes long and long )

But it crashes in --> rebuy.txt files - and never pass it. ( Tryed to do it 2 times).

I don't really know if i did something wrong, or if it's my computers fault - but can't get it working !

Any clue on what is happening !??

Which game are you trying to install?
Are you doing a full or minimal extract?
Could you maybe give a screenshot of your error?

I get this error in Gmod9.0.4 saying Extra App Id set to 320, but no steamid. How do I get past this?

I wanna run a HL1 dedicated server, can this launch one ?

I have the dedicated server.gcf with all the others (it finds all the games fine) but it still says no server gcf's found.

GCF is 100% from legit steam.

Yeah! It look very nice!! Does it work with Steam/cuesteam/unilauncher/crack360 etc over lan?

Edit: But dedicated servers and Mods are not detected..

It works as standalone client or as addon to any legit or cracked steam client as long as GCF can be found in SteamApps.



Mods ARE detected in this version. Make sure HL2 mods are installed to 'Rat-Steam\SteamApps\SourceMods'. Make sure HL1 mods are installed to 'Rat-Steam\SteamApps\Rat-STeam\HL1'. Also make sure you have the appropriate GCF in SteamApps for the mod you have i.e. HL1 or HL2.



Dedicated servers are not yet supported. (Will be in future).

ok you're right I did not look carefully in mod lists-.-

But what I wanted to ask was with which cracks/launchers/clients it will be compatible over lan? For example when I have legit Steam, can I join a Rat-Steam Server/can a Rat-Steam Client join my server?
