Not that I know of. Steam client knows appids of games, individual app should not (and does not) care what appid is assigned to it. |

I think you should definately add the ability to play non hl1/hl2 games. If it is something that you are willing to do, and have the time too... It would be something great, that way we can still play games while you dissapear for years on end |

hCUPa Welcome back and big thanks for releasing new steamemu! Quote: To everyone.. How many of you play non hl1/hl2 engine games via steam? I was thinking about adding support of disciples, sin, etc.. But not sure if its worth it. I think most of us here would like to play current and upcoming non-steam games for sure, so if you'll implement this in future versions of your steamemu it would be great also it would be great to add support for new ncf too P.S. Cannot run HLDM:S with steamemu 3.02b/3.04 ------- Engine error: NUM_FOR_EDICT: bad pointer could you explain how to do it? elrico Quote: Ps: i think you don't need me for that but if you wan't some gcf i'll can try to upload them...
I think we all WILL provide him with any gcf/ncf he'll ever need am I right guys? |

could you explain how to do it? Just started hl2dm on few maps, ran around shooting and jumping like mad. Everything was ok. Make sure you have correct emu/ini files when trying and if you do, post how to reproduce this error. |

I was talking about Half Life Deathmatch Source, not about Half-Life 2 Deathmatch! HL2DM works fine, HLDM:S gives error I mentioned above |

To hCUPa : thank you to continue developing your emu. Actually I have a question. With the latest release of Steamemu by Metallic I get random crashes to desktop with a message box when I play a game that uses base source engine 2.gcf like ep1 or cstrike source. When I say random crashes I mean play 10 minutes then crash, the next time play 1 hour then crash and so on. I think I was not alone to have this issue. Are you aware of this issue and do you think you have fixed it with your latest release of Steamemu ? Actually I don't have the time to test it that's why I ask you that. Thank you again and I'm interested if you add support to non source game and source games not supported now. |

I think I was not alone to have this issue. Are you aware of this issue and do you think you have fixed it with your latest release of Steamemu ? This is not steamemu's issue, its source engine itself. There are multiple threads regarding the crashes (crashing to desktop, referenced memory error, etc) posted over at steampowered forums. Some solutions suggested that might work is disabling AA, AF and HDR. That worked for me for at moment. And thanks to SASIO and hCUPa for the great work. I'll be waiting for your next releases! |

I'm using ONLY steamemu 3.02b & 3.04, no other launchers ; Half-Life Deathmatch Source ; hl2.exe -steam -game hl1mp [HL2.EXE_HL1MP] GCF00=base source engine 2.gcf GCF01=source materials.gcf GCF02=source models.gcf GCF03=source sounds.gcf GCF04=half-life source.gcf GCF05=half-life deathmatch source.gcf when it starting, it gives me an error I've mentioned above HL: Source runs fine, all other Source games runs perfectly too |

Excuse me but when I play those games I mention with normal Steam I don't experience any crashes. So we don't speak about the same issue. hCUPa : I really think that the issue I described in my precedent post is caused by steamemu 2.63 and 3.02. Maybe a problem with latest source engine. |

; Half Life Deathmatch Source ; Got it own engine, so no need to include source engine.gcf [HL2.EXE_HL1MP] GCF01=half-life deathmatch source.gcf GCF02=half-life source.gcf ; Half Life 2: Episode One [HL2.EXE_EPISODIC] GCF01=base source engine 2.gcf GCF02=source models.gcf GCF03=source materials.gcf GCF04=source sounds.gcf GCF05=half-life 2 episode one.gcf working! |
