yes, start steam, download games and launch the game (find servers, lan ...) but all need original steam in the same version! |

SearchURL 0.1 Little tool, demo of the URL-Search-ENGINE in version 4.0. Start program, press start, choose steam folder and then the program search the steamui.dll and output the urls in it. The patcher in the new version will be smaller (<10mb) and dont overwrite the dlls with new files! It patchs it and searchs for the URL! I will make a tool, with it you can change the url with your ones!

4.0 pre-alpha 
- search for urls in steamui.dll and patch that - cracked store-page (bug!) - cracked support-page - cracked news-page (bug!) - cracked steam.dll - included a steamui.dll patchingsuite In this version it´s very slow in the search engine, i will try to fix it

Note that it is technically impossible to patch URL with a longer one. All at all such 'patching' is pretty dangerous and can lead to weird crashes. P.S. I asked you to highlight benefits of your patcher compared to other similar solutions (.cue, CIntX, MaddoxX, etc). Can you please do that? There must be something to justtify 100x download size. |

thats why i have only steam.dll repacked in this patcher! steamui.dll is patched from me 100%! This is my first attempt to create a own patcher, this isn´t a repack, look at the new version, you can see a STEAMUI.DLL-PATCHINGSUITE. With this feature you can add easy your own urls to steam. But it isn´t final and every day i will release a new version. Why a new patcher? Provision Steam Patcher is very old, you can´t download any games... I´m working on this patcher and i will patch the steam.dll soon. I have learned a lot with this, and many people give me feedback! And... this isn´t only a patcher, the biggest feature is the CRACKED-STORE-PAGE with all GCF´s!!!!!!! You can download it direct and fast without any one-click-hosters. |

So you at least acknowledge that steam.dll patch is a repack. Okay, lets take a look what are those wonderful SteamUI.dll patches are. 1) http://steampowered.com/index.php?area=news changed to http://valveinc.net/p3ng3l/newscracked.htms 2) http://storefront.steampowered.com changed to http://valveinc.net/p3ng3l/PacmansStore/crackedind 3) http://support.steampowered.com changed to http://valveinc.net/p3ng3l/1234.htm%0D%0A 4) area changed to 1111 client changed to 111111 That's all. Also note that because of substitution strings being too long, patches 2 and 3 are invalid and can do only harm, no good. Speaking of "patchingsuite" -- I already said why this technique is dangerous and you can see yourself that even author failed to use it correctly (not to mention that adding URLs to steam is pointless to start with). I'm impatiently waiting till you get to steam.dll, and replace few more URLs there, making "new and better" patch. While you blame provision patcher here for being too old, remember that your URL manipulations add zero functionality to their "old" patch. Now the killer feature -- CRACKED STORE PAGE. Yeh, nice page with links, but why not just posting it as an URL? Summary: 12mb of crap that unpacks into 40mb of crap that runs as slow as Windows XP on 486 machine, does as much as 20kb provision patcher, has few more bugs introduced together with ability to add even more bugs using "patching suite" (that's ofcourse if you have patience to wait while it searches and patches). And funniest thing is -- this is considered good and proper release. What's happening with community nowadays? |

Nowadays, cracks are also judged after the person who made it.. pengel works on this stuff the hole day, he can't crack, but he tried to do his best to help. He never flames and is helpful, while real crackers like cue or cIntX used to flame and act like kids sometimes. For me, not only results count. For me, effort counts. |

For me, not only results count. For me, effort counts. Hitting a wall with own head whole day is not the best way to gain respect. If one wants to help there's numerous ways to do that besides cracking. He could keep mirror of mini GCFs and cracks (direct links are always nice), write some documentation, sing a song about this forum.. whatever. Effort counts, but there's different effort. |

so you mean i don´t try to crack and upload shit a hole day? wow, nice.... this can everybody.... its possible to add url´s into steam: if url$ longer that 10 bits then... convert url to tinyurl.com/BLABLABLA ok? it´s possible! i know that the steamui is a .dll with bugs... because i have removed the file from the exe and make a patcher, it isn´t easy for me. I´m working on this shit a few full days and now i give up? no... thanks for this feedpack, but this don´t help the community to make better programs. 1 release per year... 100x repacked... I try to make a own patcher and update it day for day... I have said that this beta is slow and i make it faster. I have said that i will make a own steam.dll. So plz wait for updates... |
