It should still work for years though because the content listing is maintained outside the normal code by one of the GCF pwners...

Ive already begun work on ripping the 'lil beasts' game launching engine into a dll so i can begin on ministeam 2.

Planned are a full fuller interface( not unlike steams funnily enough.. ) and support for external games etc. no firm plans yet. just better..

Now would prolly the time to be throwing up ideas .....

Also if you look in the css directory you should be able to replace the 'fixfile' with the latest yourself since you sem to know a little more about it than me.
(seriously though id appreciate your help if thats the case. soooo many games to manage...)

I make strenious efforts to ensure that we are the only people that actually provide the file you download.
If you got it from the first post in this thread, its clean.

If you got it from anywhere else..... ....... I dunno.

its only a idear but a start cracked / original steam button where nice (only when steam.exe is in the same directory). And you can include a GCF Link Grabber

Its already in the (unreleased) final version mate.

Also its spelt "idea". people will start thinking you're pacman. XD

Did you drop both the file and the folder into your current steam directory?

If you are just getting a white box and nothing else then i suspect i have release a version hardwired to my steam dir.

Please open the file. Steam\minifiles\user.ini
And delete the ini key "SteamDir"

Im REALLY sorry if this is the case. I promise both the bug that causes it and the ini key have been fixed.

Launch then quit is basicly closes ministeam as soon as your game is over and the files and fixpacks can be removed safley.
then it quits auto. I believe the term is a one-shot launcher but i could be wrong. phew long post.

I see games and fronts all but no play Button

Ahhh download the the 1.4.5 version.

Ministeam 1.4.2 tried to use custom fonts but it didnt work for all people so i released a small fix in the form of 1.4.5. Its the ONLY change between the two versions.

The new version installs the fonts comfortabley. so it should look sexier soon...
Also dont worry about the post count we are clocking up.
Its important to me that people are able to use my programs well.
(as long as they remain polite. )
