Do u know where i can get cs 1.6 GCF? So i can play it :P ... I cant play some games if they are Ready - Not Extracted? :roll:

some mods arent detected corretly like Gmod v7, v8 and the awakening v1.1 so you see the sourcemod picture.
and not the correct pic.

Define "The correct pic"

Sourcemods have only one image. The source mod image.
However you are correct about the sourcemod detection.
Some mods dont comply with a "standard" and have to be
detected and named differently. Its already done and coming soon.

Don't know if this has been posted already, but Half-Life 1 mods DO work with Ministeam.

Example:
(I'm using the mod BrainBread in this example http://www.ironoak.ch/ )
Install mod to your usual half-life install -
.\Steam\SteamApps\username\half-life\BrainBread

in .\Steam\MiniFiles\SteamGames.ini -
[BrainBread]                        (change this to your mod's name)
AppId=70
Path=steamapps\%s\half-life\
Exe=hl.exe
Arguments=-steam -game brainbread      (add -game <mod folder name> here)
Content=Half-Life Engine.gcf,Platform.gcf,Half-Life.gcf
AltExe=hl.exe_brainbread                 (edit this line to hl.exe_<mod folder name>)


That's it! The mod lists in the Minilauncher window and loads and plays perfectly! It will always use the Half-Life background.

Surely MiniLauncher could scan the half-life folder for mods and add them automatically?
Edit: I hadn't realised work on this codebase of MiniSteam had been suspended. The reference i've posted should be plenty however for anyone looking to get half-life 1 mods to work.

Ministeam is not dead as a project. We are woking up to a FINAL release that should be considered stable for 99% of people. and fix any outstanding bugs.Baine maintains the content update regardless of me so it should work fine for at least a few years if hCupa maintains his emulator.
Game updates are done outside of code. Its one of the few smart things i did in ministeam.... read on. :roll:

Theres two reasons why half life one mods aren't supported.

First
Ministeam almost totally dependant on the gui for its indexing and that was only ever designed to support proper games. The current source mod support came about via me breaking one of my own coding rules and allowing sacrificing speed for useablity.
(launcher is slower thanks to source mod support.... :( )

Second I just dont play them so i had no idea how they actually launch or any desire to learn. lol. I know now... ;) thx.
btw: I think you really are the first person to ask.

In ministeam the are just kinda wedged in..I fully intend to support the hl1 mods completely in ministeam2 though.
Its gui is much more flexable already by design. Im loving it tbh.
But i prolly shouldnt say anymore till i release .. "subject to change" and all that. :D

Glad I could help in my own, small way.

It's a shame there's not much demand for Half-Life 1 based mods though, there's some real gems out there.

Some of my favourites include:
Action Half-Life
Science and Industry
Rocket Crowbar
Sven-Coop
BrainBread
The Specialists
Halfquake
Halfquake Amen
(many more single player map-pack mods but those 2 are the only ones unique enough to stay fresh in memory - I highly recommend playing them, but you need a lot of patience!)

and of course CS 1.6 and TFC.

I'll look forward to MiniSteam 2!
