Can you add in ministeam to choose folder where gcfs will be? or was unpacked?

I'm getting an error. It says it can't load the index file.

It cant load minifiles\steamgames.ini. Thats the main content listing file. Cant help you any further than that since you have given me no other info to extract the cause of the problem from. good luck with it.


It can currently use a valid steam install from a different directory than itself but the steam/steamapps directory structure still has to exist. look in the advanced menu.

ey i have a few problems with tmu under MiniSteam

ich i want to start tmu the launcher appears, but if i pres play nothing happens. in my task manager the task tmunited appears for less then then 1 second and directly dissapears.
If i press trackmania united and the launcher appears the ministeam window dissappears. When it appears a few seconds later and when i press Play then i get the error that there is no steam.dll. i copied a steam.dll allerady in any ministeam file, in steam and in system32

If I change the exe in steamgames.ini into tmunited.exe instead of tmunitedlauncher.exe i have the same problem.

I hope you can help me

can i play insurgancy mod with this ? and when how ?


edit:its in my game list but ministeam says i need to extract half life 2!
i have a standalone version hl 2! What can i make?

I'm having trouble launching a (LAN) server for the Insurgency mod using the latest Ministeam:

HL2 + SDK are installed
I'm using Ministeam 1.4.5 to launch the game
All other games/mods are working (GMod10, CSS, DOD:S,...)
Insurgency shows up in the game list and launching the game (option menu etc...) is working.

Only when I'm loading a map it suddenly stops and goes back to the desktop with following error:

"Engine Error"
Unable to load authentication library, Exiting.....
-------------------------------------------------------------


I don't know if this has anything to do with Ministeam?
Any solution is welcome, thx

when i downloaded latest version 1.4.5 it doesent come with mini files

I don't want to be rude but are you sure that file was compressed/uploaded ok because Im getting errors opening it in the latest version of winrar ..3.70.

rins webspace really isn't suitable for downloads, itÄs so slow and corrupts the files.. hm k let's forget that and I upload it at filehosters..

in version 1.4.5 when i try to start css i get the error:

"Client.dll Init() in library client failed"

Yeah it the counter stike source bug i believe the answer is on first post now.........

And try the update for insurgency. Hl2 woozzwodgit that you need for the triple lay over head manifold sprocket wasn't working.
