well, i already have something like that, it's called install creator pro. it compressed 5 MB into 1,1 MB and created a cool installer too! it also compressed 1,1 GB to 400 MB, with normal compression mode, i don't want to know how small it would be if you use the maximum compression mode 
EDiT: @ Real_Pacman: Do you want to steal my Release too? Are you so lame that you can't even create your own Standalone? |

Hum, now I think it works fine and i can get it to 700 Megs, I'm compressing those dirs with uha: /hl2/ , /cstrike/maps/ , /cstrike/materials/ , /cstrike/models/ |

@ psyxeon's avatar: Too big? The resizing mod for that resizes it well here.. + I heard of that compression too. I had a 130 MB avi file compressed in a rar archive to about 5mb or something.. that was crazy..but I don't know how they did it. It was a video where someone got into internal NASA controls and changed user details on their page or something

Normally, oversized avatars and sigs get resized by the board. I installed modifications for that.. it doesn't work for sigs too well, but it always did for avatars. I didn't see any oversized avatars ever since. |

Lol Back2Topic? I managed to compress it now, i think i can get it to 700 MB or smaller! A Friend of mine already supplied me with a high-speed fileserver! EDiT: Later when it's 100% Compressed i'm going to test it on a blank windows xp. And if it works properly then, i'll upload it to the fileserver! |

wow... getting exited ...
What a internet connection you have? Cause the worst what could happen was if you would upload with a 6000 german inet and than at 90-99% you have a reconnect or so 
And would we also be able to download from this server? |

When you finished the installer, pack it with WinRAR anbd split it into parts and then upload the parts.. frustration of wasted time when an upload fails won't be so big. |

I have only 2000 german  25 KB/s upload yep, everybody will be able to download from that server with fullspeed, the server has an 100 MBit Connection. That's correct. + The Compression is Like This /cstrike/{materials,maps,models,sound} -> UHARC -> /cstrike/ -> Tar -> BZip2 -> Compressed by Setup I have already writen an install script for the decompression. |
