i don't belive that. nobody gives a f*** if they remove the games. anyway as i said earlyer in a post: LC is NOT a game and nobody buys just a DM retail. VALVe has nothing to lose. it's a win-win situation. they get great publicity and we get a free game |

You can get the Half-Life 2 demo here, for all Intel Core 2 Duo processor owners. But i dont get the point because you can get the demo also at the site from steam. http://www.steampowered.com/intel/ |

Any accounts generated should last forever. While Divition mentions the hardware promo stuff I think Kuifje is right. Its more likely that that piece of code is being used to promote the demo to intel users than to provide anything free. and hl2 demo is free anyway... Divs crack generates random machine markers so.. If this crack does work on future promo's its likely it will work as well as it does now. ie infinite accounts... most hardware promo can be broke by virtue of the fact they are really depending on our machines telling them the truth and they (valve) know it. Put simply if valve want you to have a legit account with that game, it will be cracked. If they dont it wont.. shop stolen licence keys ftw.

The command only contains the subscription number that has the promotion. Right now there is only a single subscription in the Content Registry that has this kind of promotion, so it most likely can't be used for other games. |

Niiiice reminds me of the old promotion... but when that expired people who already signed up lost access to the game as well not only people who missed out on activating it-but everyone EDIT: I don't know if this has been posted but in the steam news front page thing there is a sidebar that says "ATI + STEAM = FREE GAMES!" and you can click read more.... which opens this webpage http://www.steampowered.com/ati_offer1a/ which lets you click Get it Now and then the yes opens the link that we have all been clicking.... the funny part is that there is no check anywhere that you have an ati I have nvidia = not ati i have an intel pentium = not amd (which ati is part of) hah...w/e |
