I don't get how this patch is different from the patches in http://cs.rin.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?t=45456 Can someone explain what all this steam id stuff is & everything & why this one is different?

I had to fix that DLL again. And I had to manually clean up the stack after DLL call (I also had to do it with the emu when I made it :|). But it works now, that's what matters :)

The engine passed client's IP address only in first 3 calls, after that it passed server IP address, so SteamIDs were like 19216812 (my local ip address). So, I have added a static variable which saved client's IP address form the first call, and used that address in all other calls.

It will work under Wine (the last time i tested).
But it can break very easily.

Make it so it doesn't break. Maybe you should configure wine better (DLL dependencies etc)

And your emu is engine based(no compat) or steam emulation type one(so compat with MaddoxX's , main and other patches?)

So it is indeed a steam emu... May be it is compatible :)
But where are still many questions :)
And steam_0:0:0... Heard about it somewehere :)
But really id didnt replace pending ones... Just passed over to engine auth instead of auth failed(pending id).
Recent patches are really replacing pending ids with steam_888:888:00 :)

Non steam users get STEAM_IPs (so-called :))
Cracked and legit steam users get their real ID.
