I can absolutely guarantee that I've NOT included any viruses!
Do you know how long it took me to pack it, recognize making something wrong, pack it again, making upload tests to find the right upload site, etc. etc. until I was finally finished?
WAY too much hassle for me if I'd just wanted people to download a virus which, anyway, in 99% of all cases will be found by someone.
There are really MUCH easier ways to distribute viruses and this is too much of an awesome release to waste for something like a virus.

So seriously, as CR@CK-iT already pointed out, there's no virus in there.

Batch files converted to executables are likely to trigger such messages.

That's why I stopped converting my batchs to executables. Only advantage of executables is that you can add an icon.

I didn´t want to make your release worse, but i found a way to bypass this antivir problem.
Delete episode2.exe and dedicatedserver.exe (if you don´t need it), make a shortcut of hl2.exe on your desktop and put the following in the upper line " -game ep2" (without " ").
After this the antivir won´t bother you again.

Correct ;)! And that's all what the batch / exe does.

Rapidshare is for many a problem because accounts for fast downloads cost some money.

There were many user complaining about, but seriously, is filefront or wuala not an option? Check them and let us know what you think about these filehosters.

And what do you think about encrypting the downloadlinks?

If you take a look at the previous page, then you'll see that I provided links to alternative file hosters.

***UPDATE***
Portal: Prelude 1.1.0 is available!

Here is the newest version of Portal Prelude for your Half-Life 2 - Black Box! Many bugs are now fixed, for a changelog visit http://www.portalprelude.com!

The installer works still exact as the old one and contains the full mod, but looks now a bit more professional, should provide more precise information. Both Episode 2 and Portal are still required!

An update from 1.0 to 1.1.0 for the Black Box is not available, so if you own version 1.0 just uninstall the old version and install 1.1.0. Your progress with chapters unlocking is saved, but not savegames.

Quote:
Attention: Download here the mod Portal: Prelude for your HL2 Black Box!

I made an installer for the mod which allows an easy installation. The original installer does not work with the Black Box. Only the Black Box is needed (version 3.8 is recommended) and you should have installed HL2 and Portal, because the mod needs some components the two games provides.

The installer contains the full mod (nothing removed), adds shortcuts and a uninstaller. Shortcuts links to portalprelude.exe (compiled with autoIt v3), which contains only this code: hl2.exe -steam -console -game prelude.

If there are any bugs, post a message here. I have to say, this is my first release and I hope you enjoy this game.

@hl2zocker

I speak german too, it is my native language :D Unfortunately the mod Prelude is only available in english language and with optional french subtitles.

Ich bin auch deutschsprechend. Leider ist der Mod nicht in deutscher Sprache erhältlich, sondern nur auf englisch mit optionalen französischen Untertitel.

Ok. Normally I speak and understand English well. But I don't understand the computer voice in Portal.

If somebody detect a german language or subtitle addon plz post it here. Thx.

Guys, get ready for a new update, which will be released soon ;)!

Btw.: Are you still interested in this project?

Sry for double posting, but somehow my last post doesn't get recognized as a new post.

Are you all ready for a new update? Or are you tired of this project?

In fact this is a rethoric question! Yes we are still interested in getting patches for these games, otherwise we are not state of the art like the steam-owners out there. :D

BTW: @Cr@ck-IT would you mind moving Portal Prelude Mod on page 1 so everone can see it.

Well, it seems to be a rhetorical question, but it wasn't ment to be one... this is 100% seriously.
If nobody would be interested in this project anymore, we could end this right now. Nevertheless at least two answered my question, so here it is!

Update 3.9:

Integration pack 3.9:

Next question: Since Valve changed Day of Defeat Source from normal half-life 2 engine to 2007 it is impossible to launch it with the half-life 2 collection. But I could release it as a Black Box addon. How does that sound?
