I woke up this morning and decided to edit the compiled byte code of Vmex. After looking at some code I compiled myself, I figured out how to fully own Vmex, and it is left bare with no protection. You can decompile ANY protected BSP map now. It works just like the regular Vmex.
Download Link

Enjoy!

Well. Looks like a nice "crack". But who are you?
notes:
This is java app, should not be so virus-like ;)
No idea does it work (too lazy to test)
And the real author is someone called vulpix according to the nfo inside the download :?

A person who needed to decompile a protected map when no other methods were available.

Yes, it works 100%. You can look at the screencaps, or I can post a protected map for you to decompile and see that yes, it does work.

I guess you wouldn't post stuff that doesn't work

Thanks for clearing that out. I was just carefull because there have been some peoples who have posted nothing but viruses. And you were even more suspicious because this was your first post

Yep, I understand where you are coming from on that. I have done a few other hacks for the PSP and stuff, making a wave texture replacer, if you wanted to know.
Here's a protected map you can test it out on: http://anonym.to/?http://rapidshare.com/files/80172721/gm_ps_hugeflatconstruct.rar

Well, tested and confirmed. Original app didn't decompile and this app made it.
Nice job

Looks like one of the arrays is being overflowed when you decompile the map. My patch does not modify any code other than two parts of the program where it will detect if the map is protected or not, and where the program is starting and the credits are displayed... Do you have the latest Java Runtime Environment installed? Does the original Vmex error like that when decompiling the map? Could you send me the map you were trying to decompile? Thanks.
