Are you running your server in lan?

No the server is not runned in Lan. Sv_lan 0. My friends can't connect in lan.

I've tried fixing the problem...but so far i'm at a loss. People say Gmod works with RevEmu it gives out steam id's so does G IpT but so far it hasn't for me.

RevIni seems to be OK, but don't try to play Garry's Mod as a standalone version, use updated GCFs instead. Outdated content can be the reason why you don't get SteamIDs.

I've decided to make a make a Dedicated server due to a lot of Host_Errors :overflow error writting lua string basefile. or something like that. But now we all have the same Steam ID's... So it's basically the same problem. We have shared functions. I used VUP and eSTeamtion. Any way to generate different steam ID's without steam?

Hi, I'm completely new to cracking steam and stuff. But I got myself started, I got all of the necessary GCFs, and I downloaded SteamBuster Revolution. Everything works great, and it's an easy setup. I don't care for all of that cracked "private" server non-sense. I just want to play a little LAN with my friends. So I decided to pick up a few things: Half life 2 Deathmatch, Counterstrike Source, and garrysmod.

I was intending to use garrysmod to play the Half life 2 campaign in CO-OP mode. But again, I'm a big fat newbie here, and I've got this:

No garrysmod? I've never even had steam, so I'm not familiar with the setup and how the folders should be arranged. Here is my current "steamapps" folder. It seems to work for everything else, but I'm not sure how to implement garrysmod:

So can anyone help me out, and give me instructions on where to go from here? I've looked around, but have not found a tutorial that suits my situation.

You don't have all files required for Garry's Mod. You require a lot of files over the ones you've got.
Use CFToolbox to check which those are.

I start Garry's Mod from cracked steam with GCF files, but it goes the screen where the guy's head is stuck in a cone and does nothing for ten minutes.

I didn't wait any longer because I got too impatient.

Any solutions? Should I add GCF files for Half Life 2 that way I got a source engine along with Garry's Mod?

Hi, I have one question about VUP and listen server.

Does VUP patch everything needed for a Garry's Mod listen server so that internet clients can connect?
If so, how do I patch the engine so that it works?

Are you sure that you have all needed files and that they are valid?

I don't recommend listen servers, but yes, VUP removes the client auth. You need to get to know VUP's command line arguments.

need help with garry's mod:

after the loading screen garry's mod closes and shows this:

Need help ASAP, i realy want to make a catapult :lol:
