i know this is a CounterStrike forum, but it seems to be a good place to ask. Is there a way of playing non-steam "The Specialists", and are there any non-steam servers for it?
Any help much appreciated.

Dude, "The Specialists" is a John Woo inspired mod for Half-Life, with Slow-motion, Kung-fu and stuff. (www.specialistsmod.net)

Does anyone know of non-steam servers for it?

It's a mod for half-life, been around quite some time. Now on version 2.1, just gone Steam i think, but you can install it into the valve directory of cs-nonsteam and run ts.bat (in ts folder) to play. Check www.specialistsmod.net for more info.

i think every mod work it nonsteam because it only need HL Engine to work and if u have CS nonsteam then u have it :)

yes it possible to make it non steam, but its something non steam people didnt know, u can start of making non steam server of this.. se it this catchs up!

yeah ppl can make their own nonsteam server but they wont because it will take many resources and nobody want to do that
