More safe? None of those is really safe, use blank accounts only. Better to use? Well, I'd say SteamUp!, SemiSteam is quite hard to use. |

I have been using SeS v1.9 RC1(SemiSteam Client) for more than 4 months, soon after steam released thier new update on 20th April i started getting "The Steam servers are currently too busy to handle your request. Please try again in a few minutes." error when i launch Counter Strike or Half Life.  It still shows that i own the games but i can't run any game, i gave the crack(SeS v1.9 RC1) to 3 of my friends who have used for a month or more and they are having the same issue after the steam update. I have tried all other cracks like SteamUp!.. and its the same result.  I tried searching the forum coudn't find any answers for the problem me and my friends are facing.  Please provide a solution for this problem, thanks alot in return.

kassipu I guess the update didn't occur correctly. Use CFTooobox correct function or try to "validate game content" in steam's properties page (after you right-click on the game) |

I unstickied vityan's stuff since it seems that there's no "lifesign" of him at the moment and we can put some other stuff up as stickies. |

This release is pretty much defunctional nowadays and vityan retired anyway. Keeping this in the release section would just irritate new-bys. |

Finally got eST 1.9 RC2 working even with the latest CSS update. Everything seems good but I noticed that SourceMod would not recognize me as admin. Whenever I type sm_admin at console, I get the error "[SM] You do not have access to this command". I'd have revert back to eST 1.8 but it's using the older version of steam.dll. Logically using an older version of steam.dll with the latest CSS can cause crashes. Man I'd have gone with Rev-Emu but it assigns a unique steamid based on IP address. So if we have dynamic IP address from our ISP, again, SourceMod admin and other plugins that uses clientprefs cookies won't work. A suggestion, how about creating a universal patch like VUP to patch steam.dll for eST? Update: Now I noticed when I stay in the game and the map changes, SourceMod recognizes me as admin again! When I quit and rejoin, the problem comes back. |

Make SourceMod recognize you as admin by IP if you don't have a real IP,then by name.And also RevEmu doesn't assign IDs by IP |
