I'm also getting the SteamUI.dll error, and the file exists... I'm using Vista x86 and tried with XP SP3 compatibility, but still doesn't works..

[atrpunk07] Wait for 1.81 update(Working hard on it ATM) - It will use memory patching approach and will be independent from Steam.Dll's(Universal). |

Good luck on making the version 1.81 of eSteamation, you will need it  !btw, I never had the opportunity to try this out  , but I'm very curious what it can do, and eSteamation will save the achievements on TF2 on the Steam servers/your account? I think it should cause it gives you a SteamID...

[All] A lot of changes made to SemiSteam during past two months to accomodate known issues. KNOWN problems with official v1.80 branch: 1)Games like Beheweled 2 Deluxe DOESNT work 2)Protected games like Gish doesnt work 3)Dependancy on bundled Steam.dll(If newer SteamUI.dll is present in Steam installation ppl get Unable to load SteamUI.dll error) 4)Unstable Steam_ID generation in native mode. Very quick reconnect tries can cause invalid ID generation thus getting to server with different ID 5)SteamID generation in native mode requires Admininistrative priveleges. 6)Listen servers are not eSTEAMATiON powered. As of current 1.81 20.09.2008 10:30 PM branch: 1)Every game is working and there are no known incompatable games. 2)No Steam.DLL dependencies anymore. SemiSteam now relies on special SemiSteam_LDR launcher or possibility to run it with -clientapp switch(like cintX's SMD) 3)Steam_ID generation in native mode is stable and always retrieves correct hardware ID. Administrative privileges are not required anymore. 4)Listen servers are eSTEAMATiON powered. Remeber to patch engines(and block their updates) 5)For Windows GameServers SemiSteam_LDR launcher will be used too(Steam.DLL Independance). There is no need to replace original Steam.dlls which come with dedicated server distribution. 6)FiX/Improvement:eST 1.81 TRUNK can log to console on HL1 engine based Windows dedicated servers(Still no logging to file). TODO: 1)Add TestApp filtering capability 2)Add automatic handle of vlvticket.dll library(So users will not need to copy/update it manually each time) |
