[ChrisTX] We both know those plans are too antinoobish [All] Meantime another status update: v1.81/1.9 Branch(I think due to a lots of changes and hard redesign 1.81 is not so matching): 1)Automatic Run-Time autoconfigurable logging facility. Will enable full logging for HL1(File logging will go to special file esteamation.con) 2)As of 1) theres no longer tier0/tier0_s library dependency. eSTEAMATION will no longer require newest tier0 library(So distribution driven one will be used witout problems). This caused eST library to became 20KB smaller in size. 3)eSTEAMATiON 1.9 TRUNK now works with Windows dedicated servers. 4)SemiSteam_LDR can not inject eSTEAMATiON to Source/Source 2007 servers(via special switch). 5)SemiSteam_LDR is capable of injecting eSTEAMATiON to NonSteam clients(REVEmu/SteamEMu) thus making In-Game(aka Listen) servers eSTEAMATION Driven. 6)Console logging now works in Listen Servers. 7)Work on miniVUP Engine is going forward to allow SeS to patch engines for Listen Servers during RunTime without user interaction(No VUP usage will be needed). It will support Listen's created from: Source games,Source 2007 Games,ETQW,COD4,UT3. |

great news vityan! @ warezz: for what you reqested the lan 0 enforcement? i don“t think it has something to do with cheat prevention? MadMakz If you create listenserver, its created with sv_lan 1 = all players have ID_LAN + VAC is off, with miniVUP engine will be sv_lan 0, so listenserver will support VAC and unique steamids (like in revEMu). btw you can maybe go to rin's irc |

[All] Another development update: 1) Fixed: Darwinia Didnt worked in SeS 2) mVUP engine has been made and eST integration started. 3) Support for SteamUI in mVUP Engine to allow execution of Multiwinia from SeS(Fixing Failed to contact keyserver error). 4) Support for GameUI in mVUP Engine to allow enforcement of Source/HL1 games to start listen servers in sv_lan 0 mode(default is sv_lan 1 and it is hardcoded) [ChrisTX] Not so much but in this version(1.9X Branch) i try to make stuff more user friendly(at least for client) |

Project was seriously redesigned and now its very different so it cant be even compared to public buggy 1.8 release. In 1.9-TRUNK Every game youve mentioned is working and its working with Every Steam libraries. Installation is as simple as copying a few binaries(without rewriting Steam's original files) and double-clicking on one of them Quote: vup-like behaviour Something like this was added recently then ive build first miniVUP Engine library based on VUP codebase(2.0 RC1 TRUNK Internal). COde btw two projects will be synchronised(New stuff will be added to classic VUP and then copied to miniVUP engine codebase). Its not yet clear for me about patching whole stuff like ive always did or start with SeS support on servers(coz there are no NonSteam client yet untill shmelle returns. Some new classes should be supported and implemented for CS 1.6 Beta it to work). |

Ah, ok, I will be following the developments waiting for the new public version. I've been looking for an almost perfect single player AND multiplayer solution for quite some time. |

[All] Status update: 1)Finished working on MiniVUP Engine. The latest build(today's one) is fast and reliable. 2)Fixed Darwinia not loaded(reported by: ChrisTX) 3)Fixed Multiwinia and other similar games doesnt launch in SemiSteam("Failed to contact keyserver"). NOTE:Only works if MiniVUP Engine is active. 4)Added option to force listean servers of Source games to start in sv_lan 0 mode.NOTE:Only works if MiniVUP Engine is active(feature requester: warezz). 5)Added option to allow SemiSteam to AUTH as classic Cracked/Legid Steam instead of eST NATIVE/3-rd Party NonSteam AUTH mechanisms. 6)Performed major code cleanup(removed a lot of old junk and mess). 7)Dynamic run-time logging facility now supports SemiSteam Heart too. Logging will be pushed to esteamation.log file in Steam folder. 8_)Fixed server-side auth problem btw SeS and RevEmu(forgot one switch-case break). 9)Fixed SeS incompatability with VUP/mVUP(Fix in VUP) against "Error veryfing Steam UserID Ticket/Ivalid Steam UserID Ticket" problem(Source 2007 engine was fixed long time ago and Source engine porblem was reported by Stryder during Insurgency testing). TODO before public release: 1) Finish work on dyn-logging facility 2) Add support for patching CS 1.6 Sourceworks Beta listen server(mVUP/VUP support is complete but eST integration for SeS should be coded). 3) Perform server side tests and make fixes if needed. 4) Perform NonSteam clients tests as clients and as listen servers to ensure proper workage. 5) Build and test various linux dedis. 6) Make public miniVUP Engine headers and dynamic/static libraries for other devs(in case they wanna make VUP GUI). 7) Possibly add support for external plugins to apply patches to specific 3-rd party games. Im proud that we reached that state ppl. Greets are flying out to all testers , especially ChrisTX,warezz,Stryder and aTrDarkStar. I hope to release first public release candidate within following few days. Ive changed thread title coz SeS is far more than "ORANGEBOX" client |

SemiSteam goes soo well... everything turns out greatly. SeS will be so powerful, trust me on this one. btw, I enjoyed testing SeS, and I can't wait to test more! |
