No, I have all folders except the left4dead subfolder in one archive, then the left4dead folder in a second and then the client.dll in a third >.<

I keep getting Steam validation rejected when I try to join servers on steam groups and regular. I made sure they were non-vac but it's still giving me the error. Any ideas? I did the undead patch thingy too.

Hm, I got this error when I wanted to play the cracked version of L4D, too. I found a engine.dll which fixed this. I also had the error with the UndeadPatch  I'll add the engine.dll file here, you can try it if you want to... You have to put it into the "bin" folder of your L4D path!

You need to copy the folder in Steam\steamapps\common and the NCFs in Steam\steamapps
