Steam patched it again, the current engine.dll doesn't work anymore.

edit: Nvm my old engine.dll backup works.

dont work for me

i installed the left.4.dead.Sound.Files.v2.Content

and

the left_4_dead_client_binary_plus_engine_v3

but i cant downlaod the game with the cracked steam (UnDeadPatch333)

can someone help me thx !

You can't download L4D with a cracked steam, try a torrent download

Also the patch files I packaged, does include a confirmed to be working engine.dll

If you want that your steam friends see that you are playing L4D you can add this file as a non steam game.

It is the left 4 dead.bat file from the 1st post made into .exe

Followed directions, updated all files, engine.dll is dec 5th one

and I still get disconnect after trying 10 times

any ideas?

Just a FYI for you guys

I have a heavily moderated Hamachi Server For L4D

L4D-Fun
Pass: l4d

Also, a East Coast L4D Server running on a back bone with very high connection and tic rate. It is also cracked for people who want to connect through steam with out hamachi.

Hello, I just have a question:

I'm using a non-steam version, and a lot of this NCF, CGF business is confusing the shit out of me :D

I'm getting the C-class (valve_reject_game) error, so from the original post (coreyon :tipofthehat:) I've just downloaded the L4D_Online.11.30.2008.rar file and extracted that. Also from teh same post i've got the engine.dll file, will that be enough?

If you use the non steam version, you cannot update with this method. For the most part updating a non steam version is a pain, and this is why I suggest not using it.

So than the problem is server side?

I tried to connect to several of the servers given on the list on site suggested here.
