i read many topics about crack l4d steam server to NS, but i find NS engine only for windows server, is it .so file for linux?

and my second question is, is there a simple php script about online status, player status?

i want server for our comunnity (few thousands players)

i create a steam l4d server, and this server was online 20 second and get full 8 players

I thought VUP 2.0 worked pretty well for GNU/Linux servers?

VUP 2.0 don't work on the first one or two version of engine.dll, however, it suddenly works on the later version again, therefore I don't know whether it can work on Linux .so file or not.

is or no engine.so NS for linux? or how can i run nonsteam server on linux. or it is posibble compile windows nonsteam to linux?

Well, as vityan told us at csmania.ru you need to patch engine_i486.so and steamclient_i486.so to make L4D or TF2 (or any games on engine 2007+) server NS.

engine_i486.so patches ok, but the problem is that there's no steamclient_i486.so in linux.

There is a steamclient_linux.so but vup hangs when i try to patch it.

Anyway, vityan wrote that VUP 2.0 FiNAL _CAN_ patch L4D engine, but as soon as it hangs, i dunno what to do.

I wrote a reply on csmania.ru, but seems like vityan is on vacation. He deserved it, right ? ^_^

vup don't work

vup CAN patch engine_i486.so it is standart source engine library, the same as in css or tf2

By the way, did you download left4dead or l4d_full ?

Linux dedicated is crashing during non-steam client connect ...

Tried both VUPs 2.0 final and 2.01 svn ... nothing works ....

Any suggestions ?
