warrior5729 wrote: Read my troubleshooting guide on the top of page 4. Yes, great guide, I make all with it. But, the number in steam_appid.txt is right, and the extension too. I try all loader in this thread, but nothing, same problem. I need to modify something in the Steam directory? Ty EDIT: and for me, don't extract all 137 files, but only 116 files. No errors, the process finish. And the folder of the game have 11.3 gb froggz19 wrote: Great Community I agree.

Did you point the Steam client DLL setting in rev.ini to your local steam install's UPDATED steamclient.dll ?

i too am having the same problem, ive been poring over this forum since 2 pm (currently 9:43pm)
ive followed every step perfectly, did not change anything.
But the loader still gives me the [Application load error 3:0000065438] error.
my steam_appid.txt is correct too. i really dont know whats going on.
and yes i have pointed rev.ini to my local steam's steamclient.dll

d4rk0 Make sure you put the correct AppId in 'steam_appid.txt' (which should be 16450 IIRC). Also don't forget that you should run Loader.exe and NOT 'FEAR2.exe'.

So. nothing. Maybe my rev.ini file is wrong. It's: - [Loader]
-
- # Specify the name of the application to load.
- # You can also specify the command line.
- #
- ProcName=FEAR2.exe
-
- # Specify the location of the original steamclient.dll
- # which comes with Steam client
- # You can comment this line out if the game doesn't use it
- #
- SteamClientDll=C:\Program Files\Steam\steamclient.dll
I have installed the last version of steam in C:\Program Files\Steam I extract the game in C:\FEAR2 I create the steam_appid.txt winth only the number 16450 I start the game with loader. In the game directory (C:\FEAR2), I put the loader and his files. One of this is called steamclient.dll and it have 268 kb. In this thread I found one other (2.56 MB), but if I use it, I have this error: can't find steamclient.dll relative to executable patch C:\FEAR2\ Where can I make it? Sorry for all this questions but I try everything before ask you, and thx very much

That looks right. Steamclient.dll from rev loader has to stay in there....
